The purpose of this paper is to provide a comprehensive Total Quality Management (TQM) practices measurement instruments in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) based on previous studies. HEIs just like other industries are facing challenges in order to survive. Today, quality has become important and a must for every marketable product or service due to the business world becomes more and more complex and competitive. In this context as a management process, TQM has been accepted to cope with the changes in market environment and to focus on continuous quality improvement. Many authors believed that the principles of TQM can contribute to the continuous improvement of HEIs. This paper provides a measurement instruments for TQM practices that emphasis on continuous improvements for quality measurement in HEIs. The impact of management information systems on organisational performance with total quality management as the mediator

The present study was conducted to bring attention to the importance of Total Quality Management (TQM) in applying Management Information System (MIS) and their effects on organisational performance, particularly in the oil sector. The main objective of this research is an attempt to investigate the relationship of MIS and organisational performance along with the mediating role of TQM at Missan Oil Company in Iraq. The quantitative method applied the questionnaire-survey and structural equation modeling (SEM). A total of 250 questionnaires were distributed and a high rate of return (87.6%) has been achieved. After initial data screening, 201 responses were utilised to analyse the final data. The results revealed that MIS indicators, namely information quality, user satisfaction and net benefits are directly linked with organisational performance.
