Efikasi kendiri guru Pendidikan Jasmani terhadap pelaksanaan pengajaran mata pelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani

The purpose of this study is to investigate the level of Physical Education Teachers’ self-efficacy in teaching Physical Education in secondary schools. Around 106 respondents were chosen randomly to represent novice and expert teachers in teaching Physical Education. Data were collected and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results indicated a high level of self-efficacy among the Physical Education teachers. Pearson correlation analysis was used to show the relationship of self-efficacy of physical education teachers in relation to the teaching of Physical Education subject. The results of this study showed that the teachers’ self-efficacy of the three variables, that is, students’ involvement, instructional strategy and class management were at the high level. Tujuan kajian kuasi eksperimen ini adalah untuk mengkaji kesan pendekatan pembelajaran berasaskan inkuiri (PBI) dalam mata pelajaran geografi terhadap prestasi pencapaian dan pemerolehan kompetensi pemikiran sistem dari aspek spatial, temporal, disiplin dan budaya. Sampel terdiri daripada 133 murid tingkatan satu di Daerah Batang Padang, Perak yang dipilih secara persampelan bertujuan berdasarkan rasional 'intact group' iaitu kumpulan murid sedia ada. Dua kumpulan eksperimen menerima olahan pengajaran PBI dan PBI melalui penerapan kearifan tempatan (PBI-KA) dan kumpulan kawalan dengan pengajaran konvensional (PK). Pendekatan inkuiri dilaksanakan ke atas dua tajuk menggunakan model Kitar Pembelajaran 5E (KP5E) dan Inkuiri Geografi (IG). Investigation of essential oils, Phytochemistry and anatomical of Vitex negundo, Vitex trifolia, Plectranthus amboinicus and Plectranthus monostachyus (LAMIACEAE)

This study aimed to analyze the essential oils composition, phytochemistry, anatomical and antioxidant activity of the genus Vitex (V. negundo and V. trifolia) and Plectranthus (P. amboinicus and P. monostachyus) from Lamiaceae family. The essential oils were obtained via hydrodistillation technique and their chemical compositions were determined by gas chromatography (GC-FID) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The phytochemicals were obtained using chromatography techniques and their structures were confirmed by spectroscopic data and comparison with literatures. The anatomical study have been investigated on the lamina, midrib and petiole of the leaves part. The antioxidant activity of the essential oils was investigated using DPPH free radical scavenging assay. The study showed a total of 14 and 18 components were identified from the leaf oils of V. negundo (92.8%) and V. trifolia (91.5%), respectively. ABSTRAK Pembangunan bandar dan proses urbanisasi telah menyebabkan had pembangunan bandar melepasi sempadan ditetapkan. Tren pembangunan yang mula beralih keluar dari bandar menyebabkan kawasan pinggiran bandar dan desa berdekatan mengalami tekanan pembangunan. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengupas fenomena RURBAN yang melanda kawasan desa di Mukim Telok Panglima Garang, Kuala Langat. Data sekunder dan data primer dianalisis bagi menentukan sejauh mana kesan fenomena RURBAN terhadap desa. RURBAN merupakan fenomena sebuah kawasan desa telah mengalami proses membandarkan luar bandar secara berperingkat. Kawasan desa telah dilengkapi dengan kemudahan seperti di bandar bagi menyokong keperluan penduduk. Malah akibat proses urbanisasi ini jarak bukan lagi penghalang disebabkan sistem perhubungan dan pengangkutan telah memudahkan urusan harian. ESD-SDGs in teaching among geography teachers

ABSTRACT Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) is an important agenda in schools towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to achieve UNESCO's 2030 Agenda. Both conceptual frameworks, ESD-SDGs are implemented in pedagogic activities and important to the achievement of the SDGs. The purpose of this study is to measure ESD-SDG concept in teaching, among Geography teachers. A quantitative study was conducted involving 252 samples from 350 Geography teachers in Penang through a survey method. The findings based on mean score showed as “often”carried out by Geography teachers in term of “experiential-learning (active) approach” (M=3.95, SD=0.809), “real-world learning approach” (M=3.40, SD=1.065) and “critical-problem solving learning approach” (M=3.53, SD=1.011).
