This research is conducted to explore the designs and contents of Projek Bilik Sempit as the identity of Indie theatre in Malaysia. Projek Bilik Sempit is an alternative to run Indie theatretical productions. Indie theatres have been getting a generous amount of attention from theatre activists today involving all age layers. In fact, theatre activists are getting more active producing Indie in groups, collectively or individually without being bound under any orderly organisations. The after effect of the performances produced by Projek Bilik Sempit has successfully shaped an identity of Indie theatres of its own in the aspects of its design and content in all of its productions.
