Arabic language is an important tool in learning and teaching Islamic Legal Sciences. Its importance that it is the language of the Holy Qur'an, which is the main source of Islamic texts and provisions. Therefore, to understand these texts, the learners must understand Arabic language. The aim of this study is to investigate the function of Arabic language as a tool used in teaching Islamic Legal Sciences in the International Islamic University of Malaysia. The researchers designed a questionnaire and was distributed among the students of Arabic Language to investigate the efforts of International Islamic University of Malaysia in teaching Arabic language especially within issues that are related to understanding the Quran.  ..

The relation between arabic language learning and the understanding of islamic sciences among arabic language learners at Malaya University

This study investigates the relationship between the Arabic language and Islamic sciences. The paper aims at identifying the impact of learning Arabic on the understanding of Quran Interpretation, Islamic Law (Hadith), and Islamic Jurisprudence. The researcher uses the analytic descriptive approach and used the questionnaire as a data collection method. The population of the study was the students of Arabic language and Islamic Sciences at Malaya University, the sample was 55 students from this department. The main results of the paper were that non-Arab learners of Arabic find it very helpful in understanding the Quran and Islamic sciences. In addition, learners did not think that the Arabic language enables them to comprehend the Islamic sciences completely. Based on these results, the researcher suggested a few recommendations. The use of modern teaching methods in teaching Arabic language at higher education phase from the point view of Arabic language professors--a case of a Premier University

The study aimed to identify the use of modern teaching methods at the higher education phase for Arabic language professors- a case of a Premier University. The researcher used the analytical descriptive method, based on the survey method and she has prepared a tool that includes 42 responses. The sample was 27 lecturers and the recovery rate was 88%. The data analysis showed that there is approval of the use of modern teaching methods among the lecturer by 83.6%. The results showed that the method of the lecture is the most common while the least common in the laboratory. As for the justifications, a large number of students, the difficulty of controlling them and the inability of lecturers to apply some methods in practice are among the most common reasons for not using some modern teaching methods...
