This is a study on how to improve the writing ability of Form Three students in a secondary school in Ipoh, Perak. The use of model essay and process writing was applied to this research to find out their effectiveness in improving students' writing ability. The data was collected from essays written by a Form Three student who was the sample for this research. In my experience as an English teacher for 18 years, I found that many students were weak in writing essays due to the effectiveness when presenting points in essay. Students often committed grammatical errors in their essays. Insufficient knowledge, lack of exposure to reading materials and also lack of practice may have contributed to this weakness. Most of the time students were given guided essays and after a short discussion they were told to write the essay. Kajian ini bertujuan menganalisis isu sosial yang mengesani hubungan Malaysia- Australia semasa pemerintahan Mahathir Mohamad antara 1981 hingga 2003. Isu sosial yang diberi tumpuan ialah pelarian, perundangan dan pendidikan. Kajian ini turut menilai setiap langkah yang diambil oleh kedua negara khususnya pemimpin Malaysia yang menerima kesan langsung daripada kemunculan isu tersebut. Kajian ini menggunakan metodologi Sejarah dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Kaedah sejarah meliputi empat peringkat iaitu heuristik atau pengumpulan bahan, kritikan sumber, pentafsiran sumber dan diakhiri dengan penulisan sejarah atau historiografi. Sesuai dengan pendekatan kualitatif, proses pengumpulan bahan banyak menggunakan kaedah penyelidikan kepustakaan atau kajian ke atas sumber bertulis yang terdiri daripada sumber primer dan sumber sekunder. Kerjasama pendidikan antara Malaysia dengan Australia bukanlah sesuatu yang baharu tetapi berlangsung sejak dari kemerdekaan Malaysia pada 1957. Kerjasama tersebut meliputi penyediaan peluang pengajian di universiti Australia dan penawaran biasiswa kepada pelajar. Objektif utama artikel ini ialah menganalisis reaksi Malaysia terhadap dasar pendidikan Australia yang dilihat tidak adil terhadap pelajar Malaysia di negara tersebut. Artikel ini menggunakan kaedah kualitatif menerusi kajian sejarah berasaskan instrumen analisis dokumen. Hasil penyelidikan yang dijalankan mendapati bahawa reaksi Malaysia terhadap Australia lebih berbentuk bantahan yang membawa kepada kemerosotan jumlah pelajar Malaysia yang melanjutkan pelajaran ke Australia. Reaksi tersebut juga memperlihatkan peningkatan kesedaran dalam kalangan pemimpin Malaysia untuk mempertingkatkan tahap pencapaian pendidikan di negara tersebut agar setaraf dengan negara maju. Complaint is important in the university as it represent the dissatisfaction of student to the facilities and services. Yet, the current complaint management system where FKMT Student need to manually fill in the complaint form and FKMT Admin need to manually send the complaint to respective department is inefficient, therefore, this project is to develop IComplain@ META which is one of the hybrid web system is developed for FKMT Student, FKMT Member and FKMT Admin in order to ease their burden on complaint management. This system is going to use within FKMT, UPSI. This system had include the Artificial Intelligence technology, which is Naïve Bayes Classification Algorithm to classify the complaints of FKMT student and send to the respective departments automatically. Other than that, Email Notification sent to FKMT Student can help them in tracking the progress of complaint made.
