The tradition studies under western perspective: Chien Chung Shus ideology of literary history on “Take the old as the new”

As a Post May Fourth scholar, Ch’ien Chung Shu had gained a deep foundation for tradition studies from home, as well as underwent professional training on Western Literature. Thus, his literary perspective was much wider, familiar with the tradition and modern studies within Eastern and Western world. While comparing the Chinese and Western studies, the May Fourth scholars tended to promote “new voices” from the foreign land, taking strategic of enlarged th e advances of Western studies plus highlighted the defect of Chinese studies, in order to shape the legality of New Literature. On the contrary, the Xueheng School 学衡派 tended to absorb new nutrients from the Western Classical Literature, even analyzed the Chinese tradition studies from Western perspective . Kajian   ini   dijalankan   bertujuan   untuk   mengenalpasti;   a)   tahap   komitmen   afektif, penerusan  dan  normatif  di  kalangan  guru  sekolah  menengah  teknik,  b)  perbezaan komitmen   afektif,  penerusan  dan  normatif  di  kalangan  guru  sekolah  menengah  teknik berdasarkan   ciri-ciri  demografi  jantina,  umur,  tempoh  perkhidmatan,  bangsa,  status perkahwinan,  taraf   pendidikan,  kumpulan  perkhidmatan  dan  lokaliti  tempat  bertugas, c) hubungan di antara kepuasan kerja dengan komitmen afektif, penerusan dan normatif guru  terhadap   organisasi,  d)  hubungan  di  antara  iklim  organisasi  dengan  komitmen afektif, penerusan dan  normatif guru terhadap organisasi dan e) pengaruh pembolehubah bebas  ke  atas  komitmen  afektif,   penerusan  dan  normatif  di  kalangan  guru  sekolah menengah teknik.  Sejumlah 121 orang guru  lelaki dan 109 orang guru perempuan telah dipi.....

Pembangunan e-modul pengajaran PAK-21 bagi subtopik graf gerakan linear dan penerimaannya dalam kalangan guru pelatih Sains

Kajian ini dijalankan untuk membangunkan e-modul pengajaran PAK-21 bagi subtopik graf gerakan linear Sains Tingkatan 4 dan menentukan tahap penerimaan e-modul tersebut dalam kalangan guru pelatih Sains di UPSI. Reka bentuk kajian ini adalah kajian pembangunan yang menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif berdasarkan reka bentuk instruksional ADDIE yang mempunyai lima fasa, iaitu analisis, reka bentuk, pembangunan, pelaksanaan dan penilaian. Seramai 50 orang sampel yang dipilih melalui teknik pensampelan rawak mudah untuk menentukan tahap penerimaan e-modul yang dibangunkan. Borang kesahan pakar dan borang soal selidik tahap penerimaan digunakan sebagai instrumen kajian. Dapatan kajian dianalisis untuk mendapatkan nilai peratus persetujuan pakar, min (M) dan sisihan piawai (SP). Analisis data menunjukkan bahawa e-modul pengajaran tersebut mempunyai peratus persetujuan pakar yang tinggi untuk kesahan muka dan kesahan kandungan iaitu 98.61% dan 95%. A narrative review of the literature on students at risk of dropping out

The issue of dropping out is an important issue either nationally or internationally (Chung & Lee, 2018; Ripamonti, 2017; Siti Eshah et al, 2016; De Witte et al., 2013; McIntyre, 2013; Murad, 1973). Educational Planning and Research Division, Ministry of Education Malaysia (2016) reports that 4.3% of high school students are at risk to dropping out of the school system. National Center for Education Statistics (2016) states that the percentage of dropping out in US has declined from 7.4% (2010) to 5.9% (2015) but efforts to reduce the rate are still ongoing (Freeman & Simonsen, 2015). The Korean Educational Development Institute (KEDI) states one to two percent of Korean students stop learning (dropout) due to the difficulty in adjusting to school life (Chung & Lee, 2018). While dropping out have become a critical issue in basic education in Indonesia, around 2.6 million students aged 7 to 15 have dropped out of the education system (Pujiastuti et al., 2017).  ..
