| 1 | 2016 Article | UV-VIS spectroscopic studies of diamide ligands as potential tools for anion sensor Abdul Kadir Maisara, Mohd Salleh Mohamad Nur Azshary, Kassim Nur Syazwani, This paper describes the results from ultraviolet (UV) spectroscopic studies of diamide ligands namely N,N’-2,6- bis(3-pyridylmethyl)pyridine dicarboxamide (L5) and N,N’-2,6-bis(4-pyridylmethyl)pyridine dicarboxamide (L6) towards chloride, nitrate and chromate anions in solution. The responses of the ligands towards anions are monitored by the changes of the absorbance in the UV spectra. The time interval experiments were conducted from 0 to 3 hours, resulted to the rise of the absorbance of the ligands. The change in the absorbance value is attributed to the increase of interaction between the ligands and anions that is proportional with time. In contrast to the ligands, the absorbance of anion is decreased showing the reduction of anion concentration in the solution. Rapid UV response indicates the sensitivity of these ligands towards anions which at the same time showing promising potential as sensitive anion sensor... 2131 hits |
| 2 | 2019 Article | An entrepreneurship framework in the new venture creation among art education students Nor Syazwani Mat Salleh Entrepreneurship education has a bearing on new venture creation of economic growth, promoting a variety of products and services, stimulating investments, and creating jobs. The main elements behind entrepreneurship particularly for new venture creation processes have been widely highlighted by researchers. The role of various media applications and platforms in learning can be accessed through the Internet enables to expand businesses globally. This study aims to build an entrepreneurship framework in the context of integrated entrepreneurship among university students. The study applied an action research approach conducted through focus group [N=20] involving 104 art education students attending the Integrated Entrepreneurship course. Data were collected through 14 weeks’ observation of lectures and documents gathered. The observation emphasised students’ creativity in producing a business plan, art product, and product advertisement video. The roles of entrepreneurship educati..... 1433 hits |
| 3 | 2019 Article | An evaluation of content creation for personalised learning using digital ict literacy module among aboriginal students (mlict-oa) Dr. Nor Syazwani Mat Salleh ICT in the Malaysian education system serves as a tool to accomplish the National Education Blueprint 2015-2025. Under this blueprint, privileged groups such as the aborigines or Malaysian aboriginals will be given equal opportunity in education. However, a specific classroom teaching method is required to maintain the aboriginal students’ focus and attention on their learning experiences due to their unique paradigm of learning. This study used the Partial Least Square (PLS) and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) tool to examine the factors influencing personalised learning and digital self-learning ICT literacy module. It also measured the impact of personalised learning and digital ICT literacy module among secondary aboriginal students. This study involved 92 aboriginal students who participated in a transferable skills and ICT programme held in a public university in Malaysia. Results show that personalised learning positively supported the use of a digital ICT literacy module ..... 1477 hits |
| 4 | 2019 Article | Action research for the computer graphics studio course based on activity theory and semiotic theory Nor Syazwani Mat Salleh The growth of the graphic design industry plays an important role in the transmission of messages using visual communication design presentations. Thus, the lack of exposure among students to the creative and aesthetic aspects leads to problems in producing high-quality graphic works. This study discusses the application of activity and semiotic theories in analyzinggraphic production creative ideas in line with the current pedagogy. Based on the literature review conducted, an assumption framework based on a combination of semiotic and activity theories was developedafter the reflection wasdone. This study used the action research approach on the MSG3023-Computer Graphics Studio course. A total of 53 Bachelor of Art Educationstudents participated in this study from the first semester of the 2017/2018 session to the second semester of the 2018/2019 session. Meaningful learning will be achieved whe..... 1621 hits |
