The aim of this study is to examine the ancient poetry auxiliary learning systems used in six Chinese textbooks: "Bahasa Cina Kelas Peralihan" (2019) and "Bahasa Cina" for Secondary 1 to 5 (2016-2020). This study employed a mixed-method approach, using literature and statistical analysis to analyze the selection, arrangement, and content and features of the ancient poetry auxiliary learning systems. This study explored the current status of the ancient poetry auxiliary learning systems using 110 student questionnaires, 44 teacher questionnaires, and three teacher interviews. The study found that the selection of ancient poetry focuses on Tang and Song poetry, adopts a unitized format, and features a progressively progressive level of difficulty, emphasizing students' reading ability and cultural literacy.
