Affecting factors for students from outside Java Island in choosing Yogyakartas bimbel

Indonesian students come to a Bimbel (Tuition Centre) to help them accepted as a student in top-IO universities in Indonesia. There are many Bimbels in every province in Indonesia. However, most of students from outside Java Island choose Yogyakartas Bimbel. Based on that, the objectives in this study were: (I) To identify the factors affecting students to choose Yogyakartas Bimbel, in terms of (a) the teaching-learning quality; and (b) the environmental factors; (2) To identify the motivation of students from outside Java Island to study in Yogyakartas Bimbel; (3) To identify the correlation between: (a) the teaching learning quality; and (b) the environmental factors, and students' motivation to choose Yogyakartas Bimbel; (4) To examine if the teaching learning quality and environmental factors playa significant role in students' motivation to choose Yogyakarta' s Bimbel. Investigating developing and validating rubrics for Teacher\s Self-Efficacy and Teaching Competency in drug education

The objectives of the study were to investigate the Teacher's Self-Efficacy (TSE) and Teaching Competency (TC) of classroom teachers in drug education, to examine whether the TSE and TC are influenced by gender, age, academic qualification, and years of teaching experience, to develop the rubrics for TSE and TC, and to validate the rubrics for TSE and TC in drug education. The methodology used in this study was a mixed-methods approach using the ADDIE Model to develop a rubric. The descriptive statistics and MANOVA were performed on the analysis data with a significant level of .05. There were 389 participants, which consisted of classroom teachers in public secondary schools in Kelantan and educational experts from three public universities in Malaysia. The results of the study showed that classroom teachers had moderately high levels of TSE and TC. Teachers\ self-efficacy as a critical determinant of the quality of drug education among Malaysia students

Drug education in school is one of the efforts of the government for erad-icating drug abuse among young children in educational institutions. Teachers play significant role in drug prevention because they spend much of their time with students at school. The objective of this study is to highlight the teachers` self-efficacy and its impact on level of drug abuse in Malaysian schools. This study employed a qualitative approach acquired through secondary data with literature review.. The study showed that teachers` self-efficacy has contributed to the quality of drug education among students due to sdominant components, such as: (1) Teaching performance in the classroom; (2) Developing cooperative learning; (3) Teachers` personal involvement; (4) Teachers` training; and (5) Students` engagement in drug prevention. Teaching competency of teachers for curbing drug and substance abuse (DSA) in Malaysian secondary schools

Teachers play a significant role in curbing Drug and Substance Abuse (DSA) because they spend much of their time with students in school. The teaching competency of teachers is needed in drug and substance abuse prevention. Some studies found that the school teachers still have lack knowledge to talk about DSA in their classroom and school environment. It is assumed that the problems are related to the teaching competency of teachers. This paper aims to discuss the role of teaching competency of teachers for curbing DSA in Malaysian secondary schools.
