Evaluation of school management system using information system success model

This research was aimed to evaluate the School Management System (SMS) using the modified Updated DeLone and Mc Lean IS Success Model. This system is an initiative to create a single data entry with a centralized database and to integrate with other systems introduced by Ministry of Education (MOE). An evaluation on SMS was crucial to ensure the Information System (IS) would be able to work effectively and efficiently. This quantitative research was carried out using survey method. A set of questionnaire was used as a tool for data collection. It consisted of 17 questions derived from other validated researches. The questionnaire was distributed to 400 primary school teachers in Selangor. They were chosen by using a simple random sampling. The collected data was analysed using descriptive statistic and inferential statistic. Gender and game genres differences in playing online games

Online games are currently popular among teenagers as a way to entertain their time and having fun. Some claimed that by playing games could enhance learning ability, improved focus and attention, treat depression, less anti-social and many more. However, playing games could also become an addiction where some might involve with physical and health problems. This paper investigated gender-based students’ perceptions on playing games with their daily life. The perceptions study was developed based on ten items that related to students’ daily task. This study is also to identify the most popular game genres and genre-gender based preference from twelve game genres listed in this study. The data were collected among 116 students from Diploma in game design and development course offered by Faculty of Arts, Computing & Creative Industry at Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI), Malaysia. UPSI students’ perceptions on the use of ict in learning: comparison between knowledge test and task-based test on ict competency

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is one of an important factor in developing and implementing effective ways in teaching and learning. As learning at higher learning institution becoming a challenging experience, students are required to acquire knowledge and skill in ICT. It could help them to engage actively in learning process and becomes motivated learner. This paper investigated students_ perceptions on using ICT in learning and evaluated their score on knowledge test and task-based test. The perceptions test is looking at how students perceived the usage of ICT in their learning process and; the knowledge and task-based test are used to identify their knowledge and skills score in ICT. Later knowledge tests data are compared with perceptions data to look at any similarity and differences.
