applying of role play activities for preschoolers' language, social, and emotion
development. A quantitative study was used to collect questionnaires from preschool
educators in Chaozhou, Guangdong Province, China, who teach preschoolers aged five
to six years old. A total of 352 educators (Private Urban N=110, Private Rural N=73,
Public Urban N=101, Public Rural N=68) were chosen as research samples using
stratified random sampling. The online platform Questionnaire Star is used for
questionnaire distribution, which has been validated by experts and pilot studies.
Inferential statistical analyses, such as correlation and regression models, are used to
interpret the findings. Results showed that educators' understanding and applying of

| 2 | 2024 Article | An exploration of pedagogical research methods in traditional chinese thought the study of Lao-Zhuang philosophy as the core of discussion Huang This study takes “Lao Zhuang’s Philosophy of Education” as the core of discussion, and tries to analyze the pedagogical research methodology of traditional Chinese thought, as well as to clarify the boundaries between the “study of history of education” and the “study of philosophy of education” in the study of traditional Chinese thought in education. It is found that there are two types of Lao-Zhuang's research results related to the theme of education research. First, the research on Lao-Zhuang’s thought is conducted with the concepts related to pedagogy as the main vein and analytical framework, which has the advantage of highlighting the value and characteristics of education, but the disadvantage is that this kind of research does not necessarily present the completeness of the traditional thought. This module was developed for the topic Chemical Composition of the Cell based on the integration of Sidek and Jamaludin’s Model and the Five Steps of Applying Gamification in Education proposed by Huang and Soman. The process of developing this module involved the preparation of module draft, experts’ reviews and calculation of content validity of the module. During this process, the module draft was given to three subject matter experts consist of academicians and practitioners to be reviewed. Several recommendations were identified and amendment was done accordingly. The amended module was then evaluated for its content validity. The percentage of experts’ agreement obtained for this module ranged from 77% to 85%. This finding shows that Bio-GamyX module has a good content validity. | 6 | 2020 Article | The birth of the glorious Ming books, knowledge production and the formation of dynastic consciousness in the record of heroes and martyrs Liu, Chiung-yun Evelyn By examining the intertwined relationship between Chen Jian’s (1497-1567) Huang Ming tongji ????(Comprehensive Annals of Imperial Ming) and the anonymous historical novel Yinglie zhuan ???(The Record of Heroes and Martyrs), this paper demonstrates that these two works together play a significant role in disseminating knowledge about the founding of the Ming dynasty from mid-sixteenth century onward. It first inspects how these two works and their later editions borrow from each other. Then, by paying special attention to the book forms of The Record of Heroes and Martyrs, including the illustrations, table formats, and special marks that serve as reading aids for the reader, this paper analyzes how these special designs might have helped the reader grasp historical information and envision the past of the dynasty in a way hard to achieve before the proliferation of books. Both of the orga nisations became t he school board committee which gathered an intertwined network of commerce, temples, politics, and education to gain a foothold in the port. After the dissolution of the Philomatic Union and Kuomintang in 1925, Jit Sin Public School beca me an important reform organization in the city, and the school board committee became an area where various groups competed for power, as illustrated by two disputes over the election of a school board committee. The first election dis pute occurred in 193 8 when the Hock Teik Cheng Sim Temple was responsible for funding the construction of Jit Sin Public School, leading to a controversy over whether the Hock Teik Cheng Sim Temple should increase its number of seats on the school board committee.
