This study aims to analyse the nature of _pasu_ (soul) in the theory of _pasu_ (soul) contained in the lyrics of Thirumanthiram songs. This study explains the nature of the _pasu_ which carries the meaning _nature of the soul_ radiated in the lyrics of Thirumanthiram songs. This study was carried out in the form of qualitative methods and the data for this study had been obtained by analysing the lyrics of Thirumanthiram songs. Thirumanthiram's book, which has 3000 songs, is vastly related with a Hindu concept and religious belief. This study only focuses on 130 song lyrics based on the theory of _Pasu_, which explicitly explains the 10 nature of the soul. Descriptive methods are used to explain the philosophy of life contained in Thirumanthiram songs based on the nature of _Pasu_. The results of the study show that as many as nine of the ten _pasu_ nature contained in the lyrics of Thirumanthiram songs.
