Prevalence of modern teaching method among senior high school students

The main purpose of this study is to determine the prevailing modern teaching methods in teaching-learning process. The descriptive-quantitative method was employed using a questionnaire as data gathering instrument. Frequencies, percentages and weighted mean were used to treat the data. The target population of the study was 286 of the senior high school students of the University of La Salette, Inc. – Santiago City during the school year 2018-2019. The study showed that modern teaching method has a positive impact on the learning of the students. It gives a lot of benefits that characterize a life-long learning. Also, through the modern teaching a method, students would be able to learn some values that would lead them to success. It also revealed that among the four-teaching method, brainstorming is the most effective for the students to learn. The implementation of school-based management in public elementary schools

This study was intended to evaluate the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) in Alfonso Lista District 1 and District 2, Division of Ifugao through formative evaluation. The Stufflebeam’s Context, Input and Process (CIP) model was used to evaluate the implementation of SBM. Mixed Methods of Research (MMR) design was utilized. Triangulation of data through the use of data analysis, questionnaires, face-to-face interviews and focus group discussions (FGD) were employed. Mean rating and thematic approach were used to determine the extent of SBM and elaborated based on themes. The results showed that there was a moderate attainment of school objectives and the operational aspects of SBM were not fully implemented by the school heads. Implementation and usefulness of outcomes-based instruction among college of education students

This study aimed to determine the status of implementation of Outcomes-based instruction as mode of instruction employed by the instructors in terms of practices and environment and its level of usefulness in terms of academic, attitude and instruction as perceived by the College of Education students of Ifugao State University Potia Campus. This study used a descriptive method of research. Based on the results, Outcomes-based instruction was implemented in terms of practices and environment. The respondents assessed that it was useful in terms of academic and instruction. On the other hand, it was very useful in terms of attitudes. Based from the findings, if outcomes-based instruction was implemented, it was also useful. This indicated that there was a significant relationship between the implementation and usefulness of OBE with the r-value 0.69. An extra-curricular activities extension in public elementary schools

The main purpose of this study is to determine the extent of implementation and level of contribution of the extra–curricular activities in the public elementary schools. Descriptive research was utilized in this study. There were 7 school heads and 64 selected teachers as respondents using total enumeration technique. Information was obtained from the respondents through the use of questionnaires. Quantitative data collected by using a questionnaire were analyzed by the use of descriptive statistics and presented through percentages, means, and frequencies. Findings show that there is an over- all high implementation of the extra-curricular activities in the public elementary school of Aguinaldo District 2. Moreover, pupils have active participation of the different activities through the leadership of the school administrators and teachers.
