The purpose of this reseach is to study in vitro organogenesis of Carica papaya L. through tissue culture system. In vitro plant regeneration, production of synthetic seeds and acclimatization of plantlets were investigated. The experimental design that was used in this research is Completely Randomized Design (CRD). For in vitro plant regeneration study, Benzylaminopurine (BAP) and Naphthalene Acetic Acid (NAA) concentrations and combinations were used ranging from 0.0 mg/L - 2.0 mg/L. The finding of this research shows that optimum callus induction was obtained when root explants were cultured on Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium fortified with 1.5 mg/L BAP and 0.5 mg/L NAA. Friable cream callus was produced. Complete plant regeneration was successfully achieved when root, stem, leaf and petiol aseptic explants were cultured on MS medium supplemented with various combinations of plant growth regulators.
