Penggunaan perisian autograph dalam pengajaran topik graf fungsi kuadratik di kalangan pelajar tingkatan empat
Nurihan Nasir
This research is aimed at finding out the effectiveness of using the Autograph software in the teaching of Quadratic Function Graph. The format used in this research is Quasi Experiment non-equivalent group design. The teaching and learning of Quadratic Function Graph using the software was carried out in one of the schools in Tapah, Perak. A comparison is then made with the traditional method of teaching this topic to Form Four Science stream students. A total of students (intact group) are selected as respondents. The students’ test achievement is based on the different increase in the mean score test (post – pre) between the treatment and the control group. The test questions were prepared according to the levels of knowledge, understanding and application of concept (according to the Taxonomy of Bloom) in the topic. The result shows that the increase in the achievement mean score of the treatment group is overall better in the topic of Quadratic Function Graph, including knowle.....

The role of job satisfaction in preschool teachers well-being: A structural equation modeling analysis
Nurihan binti Nasir
Teacher well-being is a stimulating topic frequently appearing in studies over long periods. Teachers are typically exposed to stress that, when addressed, can lead to low morale and positively impact their work. This study examined the relationship between job satisfaction and well-being among preschool teachers in Selangor. We used a quantitative research method and correlational research design to test the hypotheses and answer the research questions. The current study involved 977 government preschool teachers selected using a cluster random sampling method. After data cleaning, a data set of 610 respondents was used for this study. This study used exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) using AMOS for data analysis. SEM Analysis showed that job satisfaction positively influences teachers' well-being. However, our results also showed that the subconstruct of job satisfaction with students did not significantly influence preschool teachers' well-bein.....

The effect of geogebra software on achievement and engagement among secondary school students
Nurihan binti Nasir
GeoGebra software has been identified as a potential aid in the teaching and learning process. This study aims to examine the impact of GeoGebra software on achievement and enjoyment in the context of the polygon topic. A non-equivalent group pretest-posttest design was utilized, and 60 students were randomly assigned to either the experimental or control group. The data collected was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical methods with the assistance of SPSS version 26. The findings revealed that the level of achievement and engagement among Form Two students in the study population was already high regarding the Polygon topic. How-ever, the results demonstrated that students who received instruction utilizing GeoGebra soft-ware achieved even higher levels of achievement and engagement than those who experienced traditional teaching methods. As a result, integrating GeoGebra software into the classroom proved to be an effective tool for enhancing student achievement and.....

Peer tutoring learning strategies in mathematics subjects: systematic literature review
Nurihan Nasir
The peer tutoring approach is a student-cantered teaching method in which students learn in pairs with teacher supervision. The study discussed in this paper is a systematic literature review related to the effectiveness of peer tutoring approaches which has been published within the last 5 years. A complete text analysis was conducted using 20 research papers stating the impact of the peer mentoring approach for this writing. Among the things obtained from previous studies are the variety of ways to implement peer tutoring approach, the impact on 3 aspects in students which are mathematical achievement, social skills and cognitive skills and the teaching theories used. The findings of the study indicate that most past studies used quantitative research methods with the concept of age peer approach. Then, constructivism theory was the most frequently applied with a sample of high school students. In conclusion, this systematic literature review shows that the peer tutoring approach in .....

Nurihan binti Nasir, Mazlini binti Adnan, Murugan A/l Rajoo
Classroom assessment is essential for tracking students’ progress and improving teaching and learning in the classroom. However, the lack of clear documentation to guide teachers in assessing student mastery often hinders effective communication between teachers and stakeholders about the students’ progress. This study aimed to develop and test the digital classroom assessment document (CA-Do) for form one mathematics to improve classroom assessment practices. Design research and development method, based on ADDIE model, was used to create the digital CA-Do, and 55 mathematics teachers from 55 schools were sampled using stratified sampling. The data collected was then analyzed using SPSS version 27. The digital CA-Do received a satisfactory expert validity score of content validity index (1.00), and found all four tested sub-constructs (i.e., usefulness, ease of use, ease of learning, and satisfaction of use) to be of high level. There were significant differences in teachers’ kn.....

The role of geogebra software in conceptual understanding and engagement among secondary school student
Nurihan Nasir
This study aims to identify the impact of GeoGebra software on conceptual understanding and engagement in the topic of Functions and Quadratic Equations in One Variable in high school. The study was conducted in a quasi-experimental design with 60 students at a secondary school in Muallim district. The study results were analyzed using descriptive statistics, inference, and the Pearson Correlation. Descriptive analysis indicates that students have a strong grasp of the topic taught, particularly showing high conceptual understanding and maximum engagement in interactive activities. Inference statistics reveal a significant difference in conceptual understanding levels between the treatment and control groups among Level Four students regarding Quadratic Functions and Equations in a Variable. In addition, there were significant differences in student engagement between the treatment and control groups. There is a significant relationship between the level of student engagement and stude.....

Online game-based learning in mathematics education among Generation Z: A systematic review
Nurihan Nasir
In contemporary education, game-based learning (GBL) has become a captivating instructional method applied across various academic subjects, including mathematics. The utilization of online GBL in mathematics education constitutes a segment of the activities that mathematics educators can employ during their lessons to teach students and enhance their educational progress. The primary goal of this study was to examine recent research endeavors involving the use of online GBL in mathematics education for Generation Z cohort. To achieve this objective, a systematic review (SR) was carried out to investigate the types of online games employed, analyze previous research methodologies, and explore the educational contexts relevant to mathematics education that align with the needs of Generation Z. An SR process was conducted to gather relevant articles from three databases, namely Science Direct, Scopus, and Springer. Full-text articles were meticulously assessed based on predetermined elig.....
