This study aimed to identify the display of the elements of Lord Shiva’s ‘Sorubam’ and ‘Thadatham’ in Thirunaavukkarasar’s songs based on the theories found in the Saiva Sidhantham. Rooted on the theory, ‘Sivanyabotham’ is referred to in context of this research to analyze the display of the focussed elements. The methodology used in this research is of mixed method, whereby both qualitative and quantitative method were used descriptively based on the analysis of the texts used in Thirunaavukkarasar’s songs. Data is obtained through document analysis and questionnaire. 100 Thirunaavukkarasar’s songs were used for data collection through document analysis. The questionnaire consists of 3 parts with 24 items in total, with Part A consisting of seven items pertaining to Thirunaavukkarasar, Part B with 10 items pertaining to ‘Enkunanggal’, and Part C with seven items pertaining to ‘Aintholil’.
