The usage of chip mental arithmetic in the topic of addition and subtraction for the whole number combination in year 1

This research is done to establish the usage of the Chip Mental Arithmetic for the teaching of the addition and subtraction in the whole number combination for Year 1 pupils. Besides that, it also to find out the level of efficiency in the usage of this Chip together with its module based on the performance of the Year 1 pupilson the topics mentioned above. The method used is inference analysis. After using the Mental Arithmetic Number Chip together with its module, it showed the significant differences in the Pre and Post test. The respondents of this project are Year 1 pupils of a school in Selangor who were divided into two groups, the experimental and experimental groups. The data were analyzed by using t-test to determine the differences between pupils of the control group and the experimental group. This article presents the effectiveness of Chip Mental Arithmetic Kit in teaching and learning of topic addition and subtraction. The methods used in the research weredescriptive analysis. The sample consist of two hundred and forty-six(246)standard one students of 3 primary school in total in the state ofSelangor and Perak. Samples were divided into groups and the Chip Mental Arithmetic Kit was distributed to each group.The researcher applied the Chip Mental Arithmetic Kit in the classroom during their teaching and learning process of topic addition and subtraction in primary education. The instrument used by researcher is questionnaire. The questionnaire contained 21 questions which include the figure, the reliability, the endurance of Chip Mental Arithmetic Kit. Algebraic lab: pedagogical tool to teach and learn algebra through game

This study aims to examine the usability of 'Algebraic Lab' as a learning aid in learning Mathematics topic of Algebra for Form Two. The method used is product design and development research by using ADDIE model. The approach of this study is quantitative. A total of 100 Form Two students around Perak were randomly selected for this study. Before the questionnaire was distributed, students were taught how to use the 'Algebraic Lab'. Quantitative data were analyzed descriptively. Based on the mean analysis, the usability of 'Algebraic Lab' as a learning aid is 3.15 which is a moderate level. In conclusion, 'Algebraic Lab' is suitable for use as a learning aid for Algebra topics. The implication of this study shows that the process of teaching and learning in Malaysia through games can increase the understanding and attract students' attention to learn the topic of Algebra. The effectiveness of circle bar method towards pupils' performance in the topic of multiplication of two numbers

The purpose of this research was to study the effectiveness of Bar Circle method towards achievement of Year 3 pupils in the topic of multiplication. A pre-test and post-test non-equivalent group quasiexperimental design was used. A total of 50 primary pupils enrolled in one of the schools in Perak were chosen for this study. A total of 25 respondents from the treatment group used Bar Circle Method for intervention process whereas 25 respondents from the control group used conventional method in the teaching and learning process. The quantitative data was analysed using descriptive statistic and inferential statistic. Based on the independent sample t-test, the mean score of treatment group differed from the mean score of control group significantly [t(48) = 9.535, p < 0.05]. In conclusion, pupils from the treatment group who went through the teaching and learning using Bar Circle Method showed better achievement in the multiplication of two numbers compared to pupils from the controll.....

This study aims to determine the usability of CK-12 application in 21st century learning for topic Statistics, among the form 4 students in USJ, Subang Jaya. Specifically, the objectives of this study are to identify the level of competence, level of satisfaction and level of feasibility of CK-12 application in 21st century learning for topic Statistics among form 4 students in USJ, Subang Jaya. Quantitative approach with descriptive survey were used for this study. A number of 300 form 4 students from five different schools in USJ, Subang Jaya were chosen as research samples using random sampling method. Research instrument used is a set of questionnaires with 30 questions on the level of competence, satisfaction and feasibility of CK-12 application for the topic of Statistics form 4. A need analysis of the criteria involved in determining suitable locations for photovoltaic electric vehicle charging stations in Malaysia

The main concern is a lack of scientific planning for photovoltaic electric vehicle charging stations (PEVCS) that considers numerous main criteria and sub-criteria. PEVCS should be strategically positioned in an appropriate and ideal location to ensure that electric vehicle (EV) users may reach the stations within their driving range. While the adoption of solar is still minimal in Malaysia, Malaysia needs to move faster to allocate the PEVCS at the strategic locations. Regarding this matter, this study aims to determine the suitable criteria for allocating the location of PEVCS in Malaysia. 52 out of 177 sub-criteria and six main criteria items were selected for the Need Analysis in this study as part of the data collecting procedure, which involved 12 respondents.
