Influence of prosocial behaviors mindfulness and perceived prejudice on team cohesion among women university football players in Punjab Pakistan

The purpose of this study is to examine how various prosocial behaviors of women football players impact team cohesion and to investigate the moderating effects of perceived prejudice and mindfulness on these relationships. Specifically, this study examines how various prosocial behaviors of women football players, such as friendship quality, agreeableness, self-transcendence, empathic concern, and aggression, impact on team cohesion at the university level. It also investigates the moderating effects of perceived prejudice and mindfulness on the relationship between prosocial behaviors and team cohesion. The study utilizes social learning theory to explain these relationships and used purposive sampling to collect data from 373 active players at public universities in Punjab, Pakistan. The data analysis was conducted using Smart-PLS software. The results indicate that agreeableness, self-transcendence, empathic concern, mindfulness, and aggression positively impact team cohesion.
