This study was aimed to develop and validate an instructional framework that can be used to produce effective and efficient screencast video for learning 3D modelling software. Four variations of instructional screencast video were designed and developed specifically for this study. At the beginning of this study, a series of semi-structured interviews were conducted with six undergraduate students of Sultan Idris Education University who took the MMG3083 Modelling course. These students believed that they learned better by watching instructional screencast video as opposed to static media. Most of them agreed that screencast video can help them in learning 3D modelling.
