The study has three objectives. The first objective is to identify and analyse the components of nature using the notion of natural elements. The second objective of this study is to identify and analyse the natural aspects present in M. Murugesh's collection of haiku poems. The third objective is to analyse the correlation between the natural components shown in M. Murugesh's haiku and the lifestyle of the Tamil people. This study employs a bibliographic approach, utilising content and descriptive analysis methods based on selected haiku collections of M.Murugesh. The analysis and debate are grounded in the theory of natural elements. This study also examines the lifestyle of the Tamil people, which is intricately connected to the five fundamental natural elements: water, earth, clouds, wind, and fire.
