The development and usability of gravitation simulation interactive module via web application (WebGSIM) among form 4 Physics students in Jelutong district

This study aims to develop an educational web application ‘WebGSIM’ for the topic of Gravitation and evaluate its usability among form 4 physics students in Jelutong District. This is a developmental research design study and WebGSIM was developed based on ADDIE instructional design model. ADDIE model has five phases which are analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. After development, WebGSIM was validated by two experts. The research sample consisted of 67 form 4 physics students that was selected through cluster random sampling from all the students in Jelutong district. This research used a usability questionnaire of 20 items that was adapted from Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to evaluate the usability of WebGSIM. The data was analysed using descriptive statistics of mean and standard deviation. The data from two experts showed that the newly developed WebGSIM had a good validity with 100% of agreement. The sense of belonging and security of female characters in Chinese American novels of different era

This study explores the evolution of three literature works namely Fifth Chinese Daughter by Jade Snow Wong; The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan; Everything I Never Told You and Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng over time and examines the feelings of belonging and security experienced by the female characters in these works. The research objectives are to identify the influences of the authors_ social and cultural backgrounds on their novels; to classify the faces of the absence of security and belonging among the female characters and to explore the manifestations of the security and belonging as represented in the selected novels. This study adopts a qualitative research approach to answer the research questions raised according to the research objectives. An experimental study on blended learning in Chinese reading instruction for middle-grade primary school students

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of a blended learning model in teaching Chinese reading to mid-primary school students, focusing on its impact on students_ reading abilities and deep learning outcomes. Adopting a quasi-experimental design, a total of 80 fourth-grade students while two Chinese language teachers were purposively chosen for the qualitative phase. Data collection instruments included questionnaire surveys and classroom observations, which were used to compare reading performance and levels of deep learning between two student groups. Quantitative data were analyzed using SPSS version 26 through descriptive statistics. Qualitative data were gathered through semi-structured interviews to identify challenges faced by teachers and to collect suggestions for improving traditional instruction. This discussion was about community involvement in mental health research and the panel members were Professor Mohamed Hatta Shaharom, a senior medical practitioner and Professor of Psychiatry. Next panellist, Dr. Kahar Abdulla is an International Coordinator at European Alliance against Depression who is passionate in increasing mental health awareness in the community.
