This study aimed to examine the direct effect of psychological capital, specifically selfefficacy, optimism, hope, and resilience, on employee adaptive performance within ecommerce enterprises in Shaanxi Province, China, and the mediating effect of innovative work behaviour. The formulation of the research framework was guided by Hobfoll's Conservation of Resources theory. To conduct the research, a quantitative research design with a deductive approach was adopted. Data were collected using an online questionnaire from a sample of 500 employees, who were selected using stratified random sampling. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). At the significance level of 0.05, the findings demonstrated that psychological capital, specifically the dimensions of optimism (_=0.189, p-value=0.000), hope (_=0.197, p-value=0.000), and resilience (_=0.173, p-value=0.002), have a significant positive effect on adaptive performance, but not self-efficacy (_=0.087, p-value=0.112)......
