The implementation of scenography in the creation of artistic and creative works are in correlation are also important components in theatrical process of a theatre production. This is because components of scenography puts together elements of visual design and creative ideas in abstract, realistic and experimental forms based on the concepts and themes of the manuscripts that will be staged. The study therefore demonstrates the role of scenography in producing a theater production at the Malaysian Art School of Johor which is effective with the application of teaching and learning patterns that focus on building creative and innovative thinking skills through exploration activities to enhance the ability to create and produce quality ideas. Implementasi elemen sinografi dalam penciptaan karya kreatif dan artistik saling berdampingan dan juga merupakan komponen penting dalam proses teaterikal sesebuah produksi teater. Ini kerana komponen sinografi menggabungkan elemen rekaan visual dan idea kreatif dalam bentuk abstrak, realistik dan eksperimental mengikut konsep dan tema naskah yang dipentaskan. In Kelantan, the traditional pattern that existed in the designing the costumes for ‘Makyung’ exhibits the combination of organic and geometric styles. This balances and reinforces every produced design. The use of aesthetical values in designing patterns with underlying decorations is directly created to mirror the activities within its social community through resources that reflect their customs and culture. Based on the displayed designs, we can learn one branch in JKKN’s ‘Makyung’ performances in Kelantan.
