1 | 2023 Article | Malcolm knowles theory of andragogy at research management and innovation centre Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (RMIC-UPSI) work based learning model Kesavan Nallaluthan This conceptual paper exposes the implementation of Malcolm Knowles' Theory of Andragogy in the context of Research Management and Innovation at the Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (RMIC-UPSI). The study focuses on developing a work-based learning model that aligns with the principles of andragogy, emphasizing the unique characteristics of adult learners engaged in work-based activities. The theoretical framework draws on Knowles' principles, emphasizing self-directed learning, practical application, and the relevance of the learning experience to adult learners. The study exposes an integration of work-based learning in Business Strategic Management subjects as per the course outline in proforma. Preliminary findings suggest that integrating andragogical principles into the research environment at RMIC-UPSI positively influences adult learners' motivation, engagement, and overall satisfaction with the requirements in the course outline learning process. 2 | 2024 Article | Employees’ Entrepreneurial Orientation in Manufacturing Firms: An Empirical Study Kesavan A/L Nallaluthan This study aims to examine the relationship between organizational characteristics, knowledge management enablers, learning orientation, and employee entrepreneurial orientation (EO) among manufacturing industry employees in Klang Valley, Malaysia. The theoretical model based on the Resource-Based Theory approach to employee EO was developed. To answer the research questions, seven hypotheses were formulated. Self-administered questionnaires were distributed to the manufacturing industry employees. A total of 386 manufacturing employees of all levels were involved in this study, making an overall 25.73% response rate. This study utilized the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling to establish the validity and reliability of the measurement model and test the relationships. The findings of the study showed that both organizational characteristics and knowledge management enablers have significant influences on employee EO. The results indicated that learning orientation has..... 13 hits |
3 | 2024 Article | Industrial Digitization, the Use of Real-Time Information, and Operational Agility: Digital and Information Perspectives for Supply Chain Resilience Arsalan Mujahid Ghouri, Kesavan A/L Nallaluthan Change is the permanent reality of the digital business world. Firms manage it by their ability and capability to cope with short-term and long-term deviations and disruptions. This article presents an examination of the supply chain resilience (SCR) of firms operating in the Malaysian Service Sector. The data for this article were collected from 157 managers of 59 firms operating in 7 subservice sectors. Following organizational information processing theory and reviewing the relevant literature for the conceptualization, we tested a framework that suggests that the use of real-time information (URTI) enhances SCR. We also found that the industrial digital environment has an important link with the URTI. The results indicate that the URTI is significantly associated with SCR and operational agility, which partially mediates the relationship between the URTI and SCR. We further discuss the theoretical, practical, and policy implications arising from this research. © 1988-2012 IEEE... 19 hits |
