A tele encephalopathy diagnosis based on eeg signal compression and encryption
Azmi Shawkat Abdulbaqi
A Telemedicine network that uses connectivity and information technology to transmit medical signals such as neurological signals Electroencephalography (EEG) has become a reality for medical services of long distances. In the monitoring of mobile healthcare, these signals need to be compressed for the efficient utilization of bandwidth and the confidentiality of these signals, where compression is a critical tool to solve storage and transmission problems and can then retrieve the original signal (OS) from the compressed signal. The objective of this manuscript is to achieve higher compression gains at a low bit rate while maintaining the integrity of clinical details and also encrypting the signal to keep it private, except for specialists. Thresholding techniques are utilized in the compression stage, the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT). Instead, Huffman Encoding (HuFE) is utilized for compression and EEG signal encryption with chaos. This manuscript addresses the encoding of EEG s.....

Wireless eeg transmission and evaluation based on iCloud efficiency: age of telemedicine
Azmi Shawkat Abdulbaqi
The World Health Organization (WHO) recommended Cerebral disorders treatment within 90 minutes of the first medical encounter. Where the specialist should recover blood flow to the brain rapidly by injecting intravenous drugs in emergency situations. Tele Encephalopathy Diagnosis includes the use of advanced communication technology to convey to the off-site neurologist the pre-hospital 21-lead EEG signal for early triage, which has been shown to minimize time and overall mortality dramatically. However, hospitals also find the implementation of EEG transmission technologies very difficult to implement. Seven major technological obstacles to pre-hospital EEG transmission are established in the project research, in particular, paramedical discomfort and transport delays; signal noise and processing errors; system failure and communication losses; cellular network reliability; non-compliance with digital EEG format requirements; poor communication with electronic medical records; and cos.....

Hybrid efficient compression method for electrocardiogram signal transmission based on discrete wavelet transform and principal component analysis
Abdulbaqi, Azmi Shawkat
In this study, the researcher proposed a new approach for the compression of ECG signals by reducing the ECG data size for storage purposes which could speedily transmit data from the client to the server, preserve important diagnostic information from distortion within compressed signals, and maintain the quality of the reconstructed signal. This research was based on an experimental design involving two phases. In the first phase, DWT, which is a powerful compression tool, was used to compress ECG signals. In the compression process, PCA transferred the properties of compressed signals to MECG to maintain important cardiac features of a diagnostic area. In addition, this tool was used to reduce data dimensions to achieve optimal compression. In the second phase, the encryption of ECG signals during data transmission was performed to safeguard the privacy of patients. The findings showed that the performances of DWT and PCA algorithms were relatively superior that those of existing al.....

Exploring the potential of copper oxide biogenic synthesis: A review article on the biomedical and dental implementations
Al-Obaidi, Jameel Rabee
Purpose: In the developing field of nano-materials synthesis, copper oxide nanoparticles (NPs) are deemed to be one of the most significant transition metal oxides because of their intriguing characteristics. Its synthesis employing green chemistry principles has become a key source for next-generation antibiotics attributed to its features such as environmental friendliness, ease of use and affordability. Because they are more environmentally benign, plants have been employed to create metallic NPs. These plant extracts serve as capping, stabilising or hydrolytic agents and enable a regulated synthesis as well. Design/methodology/approach: Organic chemical solvents are harmful and entail intense conditions during nanoparticle synthesis. The copper oxide NPs (CuO-NPs) synthesised by employing the green chemistry principle showed potential antitumor properties. Green synthesised CuO-NPs are regarded to be a strong contender for applications in the pharmacological, biomedical and environ.....
