AbstractThis paper aims to study the educational system in Arabic elementary schools between the past and the present systems, bearing in mind that these schools are the first solid Arabic foundations and bright concrete in which young children deal with reading the Holy Qur’an Kareem and memorizing of some Qur’anic Verses and some religious principles. These schools are still from being the first foundation for teaching the Arabic language and its Islamic culture, because without mastering the reading of the Holy Qur’an properly, it is not possible to master the Arabic language in writing, reading and communicating.
