Thesis | Development of an ultrasonic integrated system to measure the mechanical propeties and acoustical characteristics of material Mohamad Azrul Amat This study is carried out to develop a computerized ultrasonic-based measurement system for mechanical properties and acoustical characterization of non-porous solids materials. The system employed the pulse-echo method using both longitudinal and shears waves. This system consists of a pulser/receiver generator, transducers, picoscope and personal computer. The developed system offers user-friendly procedure, yet producing accurate and reliable measurement results. The software for the system is developed using Microsoft Visual Basic Version 6.0. The front panel display is divided into the connection and control panel, the display panel and the calculation panel. The programming code for software algorithm is divided into the connection programming code, the control programming code, the display programming code and the calculation programming code. There are eight parameters of the mechanical and acoustical properties of solids materials are discussed in this study; longitudinal velo..... 1998 hits

Article | Determining important factors of arithmetic skills among newborn babies at Malaysian TASKA using artificial neural network Azrul Fazwan Kharuddin In Malaysia, most parents prefer to choose registered early childhood learning centers (TASKA), due to their perceptions that the centers are with quality services and well-observed by the government authority. In this quantitative research, the main objective is to identify the best model to represent the contributing factors which influence arithmetic performance among children at registered Malaysian TASKA. Childrens’ arithmetic performance in general affect their mental capability and overall personal skills development. This research is significant to determining the important contributing factors which influence newborn babies’ mathematical skills. Data was collected using a survey questionnaire. Based on the right sampling method, 376 registered TASKAs in Malaysia were chosen. Among the 458 chosen centers, only 63 centres provide care and education services for children age of 0 to 6 months. Neural network technique was the analysis adapted in order to achive the research ob..... 530 hits

Article | Comparison of registration status of institutional taska services in East Coast Malaysia Azrul Fazwan Kharuddin The analytical comparative profile of the nursery services of TASKA in three states on the east coast of Malaysia namely Pahang, Kelantan and Terengganu is the main idea of this study. Survey method using questionnaire was conducted on 37 TASKA selected based on three registration status. The questionnaire was modified from the SERVQUAL Model. The data were analyzed using statistical chi-squared exact test. The findings show that there is no significant difference in the safety aspect shown by the institutional TASKA whether registered or unregistered. Nevertheless, the analysis shows that there is a significant difference in the nutritional aspect based on several items from the perspective of the caretaker. An independent sample t tests also found no significant difference between the registrationstatusesin all aspects. In conclusion, the difference in terms of the TASKA category can be assessed through different perspectives where safety and nutrition factors are the key indicators ..... 729 hits
Article | Application of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) in estimating the contributing factors to satisfaction of TASKA services in East Coast Malaysia Azrul Fazwan Kharuddin This research shows the application of the Structured Equation Modeling (SEM) to obtain the best model for studying the relationship between the more efficient and accurate against the findings and the interpretation of the variables. The objectives of the study are to assess the reliability of the developed instrument and to test construct validity of the research instruments in estimating the contributing factors to TASKA service satisfaction. The proportionate stratified random sampling method was used to select a total of 61 TASKAs from three states on the east coast of Malaysia consisting of 273 parents and guardians which are currently using the TASKA services. Validity and reliability of the measurement model in the analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. Measurement models were data-based and fit based on the fit index (CMF) χ2 = 3230.541, with degrees of freedom (df) = 902, CMIN / df = 3.582 (≤5.0), CFI & TLI (≤0.9), and RMSEA = 0.070 (≤0.1). | 9 | 2021 Article | Effectiveness of a 3-month antifalling program in the mobility, balance confidence, and muscle performance of older adults Azrul Anuar Zolkafli This study determined the effectiveness of a 3-month group-based mul-ticomponent exercise program in the mobility, balance confidence, and muscle performance of older adults. A total of 40 participants (mean age=70.60±6.25 years completed pre-and posttest clinical intervention measures of mobility using the Timed Up and Go (TUG) test, balance confidence using the Activities-specific Balance Confidence scale, up-per limb strength (handgrip dynamometer), and lower limb function (30-sec chair rise test). Data were analyzed using paired t-test and based on TUG criteria for risk of fall (low-and high-risk groups). Signifi-cant improvements were found in all measures (All P0.05). A group-based multicompo-nent exercise program benefited the physical functions of older adults at low-or high risk of falls... 693 hits
Article | The development of the hots mathematical problem-solving framework using the bar model strategy: a need analysis Azrul Azwan Mohd Abdul Aziz This study aims to determine the need to develop the Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) mathematical problem-solving framework (HMPSF) using the Bar Model strategy in improving primary school pupil's achievement, motivation and attitude on Mathematical problem-solving questions in the form of HOTS. This study also aims to develop an initial prototype for HMPSF using the Bar Model strategy based on the finding of the need analysis. A questionnaire and a structured interview were used to answer the research questions in Phase 1 from three-phase modified Design and Development Research (DDR) method. A total of 65 primary Mathematics teachers and five experts in Mathematics education were involved in this study. Finding from questionnaires was analyzed using descriptive statistics involving percentage while finding from structured interviews was analyzed using thematic analysis. In conclusion, the HMPSF framework using the Bar Model strategy is necessary to develop. An initial prototype o..... 963 hits
