Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan menentukan kesan Strategi Pengajaran GeoGebra (SPG) terhadap pencapaian murid Tingkatan 4, pencapaian konseptual, pencapaian prosedural, usaha mental dan kecekapan pengajaran dalam topik Persamaan Kuadratik. Reka bentuk kuasi eksperimen ujian pra-pasca kumpulan kawalan tidak setara dijalankan terhadap 60 orang murid Tingkatan 4 dari sebuah sekolah di daerah Kota Bharu, Kelantan. Dua kelas diagihkan secara rawak kepada dua kumpulan iaitu kumpulan rawatan yang menjalani SPG dan kumpulan kawalan yang menggunakan Strategi Pengajaran Konvensional (SPK) bagi topik Persamaan Kuadratik. Instrumen yang digunakan ialah Ujian Pencapaian Persamaan Kuadratik yang mengandungi soalan pengetahuan konseptual dan pengetahuan prosedural, dan Skala Perkadaran Usaha Mental. Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the use of Web 2.0 technology for autonomous language learning among undergraduates in regard to gender differences within the context of higher education level in one of the public universities in Perak, Malaysia. The first objective was to identify the differences between the male and female learners‟ preferences of Web 2.0 tools for autonomous language learning. The second objective was to investigate male and female learners‟ reasons for their preferences of Web 2.0 tools for autonomous language learning. The third objective was to investigate how male and female learners used Web 2.0 technologies for autonomous language learning. Expression and characterization of lipase from oil palm (Elaeis Guineensis)

Abstract

FLL1 gene encodes an endogenous oil palm lipase that influence the innate quality of palm oil. While the genetic information is well-documented, FLL1 characteristics at the protein level remained unexplored. Therefore, this study aims to express and characterize recombinant protein FLL1 to understand its physical and chemical properties. FLL1 was efficiently expressed in Rosetta_ (DE3) pLysS competent cells using pFLL1-pGEX6P2 at 37 _C with 0.4 mM IPTG at A660 0.9. A purification method for producing high-purity FLL1 protein was established through affinity and ion exchange chromatography, suitable for downstream characterization and application. FLL1 enzyme activity peaked at 40 _C, and demonstrated its thermal stability by retaining 50 % of its activity after four hours of incubation at a similar temperature.
