Abstract
This study was aimed to identify the quality of English Paper 1 items of 2014 UPSR trial examination in terms of reliability, validity and items characteristics based on the analysis using Rasch measurement model. It also sought to determine the difficulty levels of 40 multiple-choice items consisting five constructs of vocabulary, language and social expression, grammar, cloze-comprehension and reading comprehension by examining the distribution of items in the item-person map. A number of 525 primary school pupils in Kuala Selangor was selected using proportionate stratified random sampling method. The validity evidences are shown through the Principle Component Analysis (PCA), fit statistics and item distractor analysis. Even though the raw variance explained by measure in PCA analysis is rather weak, it achieves the minimum uniformity and it clearly shows the absent of second dimension in the test. The fit statistics analyses have shown seven misfit items that are beyond the accept.....

Abstract
Climate change, deforestation, land degradation, and pollution are some of the environmental concerns that threaten the health of the planet, humans, and other living things. The youth will have to live with the adverse effects of these environmental threats and will be decision-makers in the future. As a result, they have to be actively involved in environmental issues to ensure ecological sustainability, which has become a national and global priority. In Malaysia, youth make up 45.8% of the total population and are emerging change agents in driving the economic change of the country. Thus, this article examines whether youths in Malaysia have a high awareness of the environment and a positive environmental attitude. They need to have a high level of environmental awareness and participation, where people are placed at the forefront of environmental sustainability initiatives. For methodology, this paper used the qualitative method by analysing and reviewing journal articles, reports.....

Metodologi .....

Abstract
Evaluation on the quality of education in Malaysia is assessed mainly through written examinations. Both the Malaysian Education Development Plan for 2001-2010 and 2013-2025 outlined restructuring of the Integrated Secondary School Curriculum (KBSM) with one of the aims to enhance students_ critical and creative thinking which could be achieved through the imperative visual reasoning skills in mathematics education specifically in the solving of mathematical problems. This study presents the analysis on the roles of graphical tasks, which are visual in nature, in the mathematics papers, Mathematics and Additional Mathematics, of the main Malaysian national examination, the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia, with the visual reasoning demand as the point of focus. A quantitative analysis is carried out on the role of graphics: decorative, representational, organizational or informational, and the trend in topics with graphic-accompanied tasks. In addition, the level of visual reasoning demand by .....

Abstract
The importance of understanding graph in the learning of calculus had led to calls for an increased in visual reasoning skills among secondary through university levels. The effectiveness of graphs in understanding derivatives depends on their efficacy as visual text forms aimed to illustrate and communicate two or more related information. Providing students with an approach to reading and interpreting graphs will help them to understand concepts better. Therefore, the study focussed on how to assess 194 pre-university students_ ability to read and interpret graphical form of functions and their derivatives based on the decoding theory: reading the graph, reading between the graph and reading beyond the graph. Findings indicate that students were able to read information directly but faced difficulties when reading beyond the graph. Implications and future research directions are discussed. Keywords Assessing, visual reasoning, derivative, graphical approach...
