A new standardisation and selection framework for real-time image dehazing algorithms from multi-foggy scenes based on fuzzy Delphi and hybrid multi-criteria decision analysis methods
Abdulkareem, Karrar Hameed
Given the rapid development of dehazing image algorithms, selecting the optimal algorithm based on multiple criteria is crucial in determining the efficiency of an algorithm. However, a sufficient number of criteria must be considered when selecting an algorithm in multiple foggy scenes, including inhomogeneous, homogenous and dark foggy scenes. However, the selection of an optimal real-time image dehazing algorithm based on standardised criteria presents a challenge. According to previous studies, a standardisation and selection framework for real-time image dehazing algorithms based on multi-foggy scenes is not yet available. To address this gap, this study proposes a new standardisation and selection framework based on fuzzy Delphi (FDM) and hybrid multi-criteria analysis methods. Experiments are also conducted in three phases. Firstly, the image dehazing criteria are standardised based on FDM. Secondly, an evaluation experiment is conducted based on standardised criteria and nine r.....

A novel Multi-perspective benchmarking framework for selecting image dehazing intelligent algorithms based on BWM and group VIKOR techniques
Abdulkareem, Karrar Hameed
The increasing demand for image dehazing-based applications has raised the value of efficient evaluation and benchmarking for image dehazing algorithms. Several perspectives, such as inhomogeneous foggy, homogenous foggy, and dark foggy scenes, have been considered in multi-criteria evaluation. The benchmarking for the selection of the best image dehazing intelligent algorithm based on multi-criteria perspectives is a challenging task owing to (a) multiple evaluation criteria, (b) criteria importance, (c) data variation, (d) criteria conflict, and (e) criteria tradeoff. A generally accepted framework for benchmarking image dehazing performance is unavailable in the existing literature. This study proposes a novel multi-perspective (i.e., an inhomogeneous foggy scene, a homogenous foggy scene, and a dark foggy scene) benchmarking framework for the selection of the best image dehazing intelligent algorithm based on multi-criteria analysis. Experiments were conducted in three stages. Firs.....

Basrai plural structures & their counterparts in Arabic & English: a descriptive & contrastive study
Al-Abdullah, Murad Hameed
Selecting the topics of Plural is considered an important one in contrastive studies to find out affinities and discrepancies across Arabic & English. This study conducts a descriptive and inductive approach to examine plurality in Arabic and English. The most important techniques and structures in Arabic were highlighted. The plural system falls into two types: regular with its structural mechanisms the the irregular with its forms and categories then, the study examined plurality in English via investigating its structures and mechanisms. There are also regular and irregular forms. Plurals affect the formatting of the word in terms of their phonetic forms and their structures. The final stage concerns the contrastive analysis across Arabic and English to find out similarities and differences regarding plurality.  ..

Based on the multi-assessment model: Towards a new context of combining the artificial neural network and structural equation modelling: A review
Hamsa Hameed Ahmed
Theoretical models have become increasingly complex, but the dual-phase structural equation modelling (SEM) and artificial neural network analysis can be used by scholars to unveil the causal interactions and nonlinear relationships between variables. However, not only a single open issue and challenge?but several of them?are encountered in the use of different multi-assessment types of measurement model to achieve the reliability and validity whilst implementing SEM, but the gaps have not been fully determined at present. The issues significantly impact the effectiveness process of selecting the most suitable method to assess the measurement model of SEM. Once the best sequence quality improvement is met, it then needs to present a recommendable solution. To this end, this study completes the literature by presenting a systematic review of all main advanced aspects of the SEM reliability and validity approaches. Firstly, the databases of ScienceDirect, IEEE Xplore, Web of Science and .....

Amidst the Arabic and English nouns: an applied contrastive study for the students of the translation department at the university of Basra
Al-Abdullah, Murad Hameed
Every human language has a set of the main elements on which it depends in the construction and linguistic structure, each of them has a set of features that distinguish it from other linguistic elements. The most important pillars of linguistic construction in Arabic and English, which is the basis for the formation of the sentence in the two languages, especially the so-called nominal sentence, as well as when it is the complementary part of the construction of the actual sentence. And the English (Parts of speech), which is the (Noune).  ..
