Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan meneliti unsur adab dan tatacara kehidupan orang Melayu terdahulu yang terdapat dalam teks Hikayat Hang Tuah. Objektif kajian adalah untuk menerangkan definisi adab dan peradaban dalam konteks yang sebenar, mengenal pasti jenis amalan adab yang wujud dalam teks Hikayat Hang Tuah dan menganalisis kesan amalan adab yang dicapai dalam hikayat tersebut. Pengkaji memilih menggunakan teori kajian budaya (culturul studies theory) sebagai asas analisis dalam kajian ini. Teori ini mengkaji tindakan manusia dalam membentuk masyarakatnya. Dapatan kajian mendapati banyak unsur adab dalam kalangan masyarakat Melayu lama yang wujud dalam hikayat tersebut. Unsur adab tersebut merangkumi adab dalam aspek sosial, ekonomi dan politik. Selain daripada unsur adab, kesan pengamalan adab kepada empayar kesultanan Melayu Melaka juga diambil sebagai hasil dapatan kajian. The study was aimed to understand the development pathways of Malaysia youth basketball players and examine the existence of relative age effect (RAE) in MSSM basketball tournament. Participants selected from the groups of top 3 successful performed (n=72) and bottom 3 unsuccessful performed (n=72) U18 boy and girl teams from the MSSM basketball tournaments and data collected through modified Participation History Questionnaire (PHQ). The milestones achieved, and types of activities engaged by all athletes were collected. ONE-WAY ANOVA used to analyze the milestone achieved, compared them within the successful and unsuccessful performed group. Factorial ANOVA were used to analyze type of activities involved according to their age and compared within the successful and unsuccessful performed group. Bahasa kiasan merupakan satu bentuk bahasa yang diungkapkan bagi mengindahkan sesuatu perkara yang kurang elok atau mempunyai niat yang tidak elok. Pengungkapan bahasa kiasan dalam konflik ini mempunyai pelbagai tujuan, antaranya mengungkapkan ketidakpuasan hati, kekecewaan dan perkelahian. Sehubungan itu, tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan bahasa kiasan dalam plot konflik menggunakan pendekatan pragmatik. Data diperoleh menerusi filem Melayu yang dilakonkan oleh Nordin Ahmad, iaitu Lanchang Kuning, Semerah Padi, Hang Jebat dan Seri Mersing. Hasil kajian mendapati bahasa kiasan banyak diungkapkan dalam plot konflik bagi menyatakan kekecewaan, perkelahian dan ketidakpuasan hati. Kajian ini juga membuktikan bahawa pengungkapan bahasa kiasan dapat difahami oleh komunikator berdasarkan pendekatan teori pragmatik. Implementing culturally responsive education is possible by incorporating story-telling into science teaching and learning. It can be viewed as one way to present new scientific concepts or information that may be complex or difficult to comprehend. This study uses a local Malay folklore story, 'Hang Tuah dan Keris Tamingsari', alongside a hands-on activity during an after-school holiday program for primary students in a local library. A total of 25 participants were involved and their written reflection was collected. The collected data and images were coded and analysed along with the participatory observation. The results indicate that while participants expressed fascination with the story and the handicraft activity, they struggled to recall the science concept. Many mentioned learning about Hang Tuah and its noble values, emphasizing their engagement with the story and the craft rather than the intended science learning.
