Abstract
As a composer, it has always been my intention to produce music which can be listened to, analysed and appreciated for its own sake, without reference to any extra-musical material. However, I have always been acutely aware of the extent to which my compositional process has evolved as a direct result of my engagement with extramusical forms, both as a scholar and a composer. It is my interpretation of these extra-musical forms which both inspires, and finds symbolic expression in, the musical structures and processes contained in my compositions. On one level, these structures and processes function solely as musical entities, and, as such they can be analysed in purely musical terms _ without reference to anything external to my compositions. However, when these entities are examined in relation to the extra-musical forms which influenced their creation, a new dimension of my music is revealed: its symbolic dimension. In this article, I outline the theoretical stances adopted through.....

Abstract
This article focuses on studying the savior as a concept from both sides linguistically and as an idea or philosophy. The study has tackled many beliefs and conventions reflected in different societies. The focus was on using such concept in the contemporary Iraqi novels and how the novelists employed it in conveying the concerns, hopes and aspirations of the ordinary man in the local areas of Baghdad under the invasion of the U.S. troops. The writers tend to use fantasy style to decrease or mitigate the cruelty of the period of invasion where the scene was full of death, bloodshed atmosphere. The sample of this study is Frankenstein in Baghdad, the novel was written by Ahmed Saadawi, one of the most famous Iraqi novelists who gained global reputation. The novel represents the postcolonial literature in Iraqi contemporary novelistic production. This novel was short listed for the coveted International Prize for Arabic Fiction in 2014 and won the prize. In 2018, Frankenstein in Baghdad .....

Abstract
This study explores youth engagement practices in environmental activities. The evaluation is based on a survey; respondents consisted of 400 youths from two subdistricts located in Muallim, Perak, Malaysia: Slim and Hulu Bernam Timur. The data was analyzed descriptively to obtain the Cronbach alpha values, and Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) was performed using SPSS 22 software. The results of the EFA reveal four youth engagement practices: Purchasing Activity Practices (AAP), 3R Activity Practices (AA3R), Energy Saving Practices (APT), and Travel Mode Practices (AMP). These practices may inform environmental education and behavioral targeting to promote sustainability among youth in Malaysia and the evaluation provided in the discussion may be duplicated to assist in similar practices assessment in other areas. ? Abstract
The main objective of this study was to investigate the notion of the saviour concept in the selected post-2003 Iraqi war novels. In this study I argued that the novelistic publication in Iraq post-2003 war and the U.S invasion of Iraq flourished after the drastic change in the political, social, cultural and economic life of Iraqis. The saviour concept is discussed in three contemporary novels written by three Iraqi novelists; namelyFrankenstein in Baghdad by Ahmed Saadawi, A Hope to Live by Fawzi Al Hindawi, and The Tobacco Keeper by Ali Bader. The themes and discourses in the novels witnessed new trends and styles of writing and became the real reflection of life and sufferings of Iraqis. The saviour concept as a theme was adopted from the universal phenomena based on the English novel Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. This concept is employed consciously to convey the idea of the Saviour as the last resort and hope for those who are suffering from marginalization and impover.....

Kajian ini adalah tentang penglibatan wanita dalam perkembangan pendidikan untuk kaum wanita di Sarawak pada tahun 1930-1963.
