The role of grandparents in grandchildren totality development

Abstract

Generally, parents who go to work would prefer their children to be with their grandparents due to blood relationship, trust, and experience. Such parenting service could become more essential when they could not find responsible housemaids or child minders. However, grandparents’ personal characteristics and family demographic influence grandchildren nutrition attitudes, emotional well-being, lifestyles, learning activities, and social skills. Furthermore, grandparents do shape the grandchildren’s behavior and educational performance in school. Based on the literature reviewed, academic research about grand-parenting influence on grandchildren development in Malaysia seems to be very limited; hence, this study aimed to give an insight into grandparents’ contribution to the grandchildren’s development in the country by applying the qualitative method approach to analyze data collected from twenty participants from two Malaysia states, namely, Ipoh and Wilayah Persekutuan. Investing subjective happiness, hope,achievement motivation and acad performance of remedial students

Abstract

The reason for this scholarly paper is to study the differences between subjective happiness, hope, and achievement motivation of remedial students in terms of the cumulative grade point average (CGPA) and locations. A total number of five hundred remedial students participated in the study. The majority of the respondents were Malays followed by other ethnics. The study was conducted in Ipoh, Tanjung Malim, Shah Alam, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The researchers used three instruments, namely, the Children’s Hope Scale, Subjective Happiness Scale, and Achievement Goal Questionnaire. The data was analyzed using Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS), version 23. Fokus utama kajian ini dilakukan adalah untuk mengenal pasti Persepsi Pelajar Program Teknologi Pemesinan Industri Kolej Vokasional Shah Alam Terhadap Pembelajaran Secara PDPR Bagi Subjek Reka Bentuk Berbantu Komputer (CAD). Kaedah kuantitatif digunakan dalam kajian ini dengan mengumpul data dengan menggunakan instrumen borang kaji soal selidik yang diedarkan melalui Google Form kepada responden yang terlibat. Selain itu, penyemakan borang selidik ini telah dilakukan oleh pakar daripada Fakulti Seni, Komputeran dan Industri Kreatif (FSKIK) yang dipilih oleh pengkaji untuk memastikan soal selidik yang direka bentuk menepati kajian yang dibangunkan sebelum diedarkan kepada responden yang terpilih. ABSTRACT Municipal solid waste (MSW) services are critical elements of human societies and environmental infrastructure. In developing countries, household waste collection and disposal are the responsibility of local authorities, but often the volume of waste surpasses their collection capabilities. In addition, a lack of awareness and knowledge of sustainable waste practices contributes to poor waste practices. As a result, most waste ends in open dumps, roadsides, and other similar places. Massive waste disposal sites (locally termed Bingi) in every ward within the case study area, Bauchi old city are the most critical problem facing the Bauchi state environmental protection agency (BASEPA), responsible for solid waste collection and disposal. Abstract

This article focuses on classical commentators such as Fahreddin er-Razi (d. 606/1210), Abu Hamid al-Ghazali (d. 505/1111), Celâlüddin es-Süyûtî (d. 911/1505), and the age of science and technology. It examines the approaches of the 20th century modern commentators to the Qur'an in terms of scientific interpretation. Because the developments in science and technology have also affected the approaches of the commentators to the Qur'an.
