Fostering augmented information: analyzing assisted living experience in Malaysia

Abstract

Like other developing countries, Malaysia also will facing with aging phenomenon. Malaysian Government already started to rise up the issues of elderly people problem since 1995. The formulation of the National Policy for the Elderly in 1995 and the setting up of the National Elderly Health Council in 1997 confirm that the government is serious in its commitment to provide care and services for the nation’s elderly. A comprehensive health care system has been applied through extensive care for elderly with chronic diseases. The health care system has been developed to focus on short term care and short term hospitalization with the consequence that the services available may not be effective in dealing with elderly having chronic diseases and disabilities. A research has recognized a moment of truth from the older system. Geometric in Islamic art and design: infinite point or creativity through compass and digital

Abstract

The creativity of earlier artists and sculptors in designing geometric are extraordinary provided with only a compass. Indeed, geometric in Islamic art and design are unique and have their own aesthetic values. In order to further understand geometric, self-learning with the approach of hands-on would be appropriate. For this study, Islamic themed geometrics designed and created, concerning only; i). The Square Repetition Unit and √2, ii). The Hexagonal Repetition Unit and √3 and iii) Double Hexagon. The aim of this research is to evaluate the creativity of Islamic geometric patterns artworks, through Fundamental Arts and Gestalt theory. Abstract

Penilaian program latihan yang dijalankan oleh organisasi terhadap kakitangan adalah amat penting dalam menentukan sejauh mana sesuatu latihan itu mampu meningkatkan kemahiran pekerja. Penilaian ini juga dapat memastikan hasil pulangan daripada pelaburan organisasi terhadap sistem latihan adalah berkadar langsung. Oleh itu, kajian ini dijalankan untuk mengkaji peranan objektif penilaian program latihan yang terdiri daripada isi kandungan program latihan, input program latihan dan hasilan program latihan terhadap keberkesanan program latihan. Rekabentuk kajian ini adalah kuantitatif berdasarkan kepada kaedah tinjauan. Sebanyak 288 responden yang terdiri daripada staf perpustakaan di Perpustakaan Tun Abdul Razak (PTAR), di Shah Alam dan PTAR yang berada disetiap negeri di Malaysia. Impak melindungi pelarian terhadap ekonomi Malaysia

Abstract

Malaysia tidak menandatangani, Konvensyen Pelarian 1951 atau Protokol 1967. Oleh itu, kerajaan tiada bertanggungjawab untuk membantu pelarian tanpa kerakyatan yang mendapatkan perlindungan nyawa di negara ini. Walau bagaimanapun, kerajaan telah membantu kumpulan masyarakat terpinggir yang ditindas di negara asal mereka berdasarkan prinsip Deklarasi Sejagat Hak Asasi Manusia (UDHR) 1948. Kerajaan juga menerapkan konsep non-refoulement dalam melindungi nyawa pelarian. Mereka dibenarkan tinggal di negara ini terutamanya di pusat tahanan Imigresen Malaysia. Oleh hal yang demikian, kerajaan terpaksa menanggung kos yang terdiri daripada makanan, tempat tinggal, perbelanjaan operasi serta kos perubatan dalam mengendalikan komuniti pelarian. Beban ekonomi dalam mengendalikan pelarian telah memberi kesan kepada ekosistem ekonomi mikro dan makro di Malaysia. Analyzing co-creation in service innovation: assisted living experience in Malaysia

This paper examines a perceived benefit of assisted living experience at Rumah Kebajikan Cheras Baru, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The examination focused on co-creational value and perceived benefit towards elderly system, which service design methodology have been implied to discover a results and feedback from activities that has been applied in old system of managing assisted homes and old folks homes in Malaysia. Existing health care system services available may not be effective in dealing with elderly having chronic diseases and disabilities. Resulted of analyzing have shown that elderly people in Malaysia dependent too much on their family support and government support. Global culture is currently still growing and developing massively in countries all over the world. It allegedly causes more harm to develop countries, including Indonesia. It is feared that Indonesia will increasingly lose its national identity, which should be maintained. To date, some Indonesians think that values from foreign countries are the best, while local cultural values are outdated. This research aimed to assess the Sundanese cultural values as part of Indonesian culture to be used as a reference for developing indicators of achieving character education goals, especially for elementary school students. Makalah ini memberi tumpuan terhadap isu pencerobohan penjajah di Tanah Jawa yang terdapat dalam Babad Tanah Jawa dan Arus Balik. Babad Tanah Jawa ialah sebuah buku klasik hasil sastera Jawa yang asalnya bernama Babad Tanah Djawi. Teks ini mula disunting pada tahun 1884 namun pengkaji dalam makalah ini akan menggguna pakai versi yang disunting oleh M. Ramlan, 1975. Arus Balik pula merupakan sebuah novel yang ditulis oleh Pramoedya Ananta Toer pada tahun 1995. Novel ini merupakan sebuah epik pasca-kejayaan Nusantara sebagai kesatuan dan kekuatan Maritim pada awal abad ke-16. Tujuan makalah ini ditulis adalah untuk membandingkan kedua-dua buah teks tersebut dari sudut latar kemasukan penjajah ke Tanah Jawa berlandaskan pendekatan tematik.
