Dalam melihat kepada perkembangan masyarakat di Sungai Batu terutamanya yang melibatkan kearifan tempatan beberapa petunjuk telah diperoleh hasil daripada penyelidikan yang dijalankan terutamanya penyelidikan arkeologi dan juga analisis secara saintifik. Penyelidikan arkeologi telah berjaya menemukan beberapa jumpaan penting antaranya ialah sebuah struktur yang diperbuat daripada batu bata yang diduga sebagai sebuah stupa, sebuah inskripsi, relau untuk melebur besi, alat batu dan beberapa artifak lain seperti tembikar tanah, seramik asing, alat perhiasan, manik dan kaca. Penyelidikan arkeologi berjaya mendedahkan dua lapisan budaya yang utama iaitu lapisan budaya masyarakat pra-Buddha atau pra-candi yang diwakili oleh jumpaan alat-alat batu dan relau melebur besi manakala lapisan kedua ialah lapisan budaya masyarakat yang sudah menerima pakai agama Buddha yang diwakili oleh jumpaan sebuah stupa dan inskripsi. Penyelidikan arkeologi di Pengkalan Bujang, Kedah pada awalnya telah dijalankan secara sistematik oleh Quaritch- Wales sejak tahun 1936 hingga 1937 lagi di bawah tajaan Greater India Research Committee yang berpusat di Calcutta, India. Antara tapak yang telah diekskavasi oleh Quaritch-Wales ialah Tapak 18, Tapak 19, Tapak 21, Tapak 22 dan Tapak 23. Beberapa jumpaan penting telah berjaya ditemui semasa ekskavasi yang dijalankan oleh Quaritch-Wales yang mana antaranya ialah arca agama, serpihan seramik, relikuari dan pelbagai artifak yang lain. Alastair Lamb juga telah menjalankan penyelidikan beliau di Pengkalan Bujang di mana beliau lebih memberi fokus kepada jumpaan kaca dan pelbagai jenis manik di Pengkalan Bujang. Antara pendapat beliau ialah kaca yang banyak ditemui di Pengkalan Bujang, Kedah berasal dari Timur Tengah dan berkemungkinan juga kaca ini merupakan kaca yang diguna semula untuk menghasilkan manik kaca monokrom. Reflecting on what is currently happening to artistic research in an academic setting, we identified three domains of knowledge that must be interpreted appropriately. In the present article, these three domains of knowledge to which we refer are covered the way we think about art, the way art is processed, and the art works itself. The way we think about art is closely related to the profile of knowledge which is philosophically known as ontology. The way art to be processed is closely related to the structure of knowledge which is philosophically known as epistemology. The global pandemic of Covid-19 has affected the teaching and learning of the STCW courses (Standards of Training, Certification and Watch-keeping for Seafarers) which witnessed the drastic move from normal face-to-face facilitation to full online and distance learning (ODL). This new paradigm shift has resulted in significant changes as well as immense challenges to students who experienced this crisis for the first time. Hence, the study aims to discover students’ motivation level in adapting to the new environment of online learning as experienced by semester 2 students in Maritime English classes via quantitative study adopted Keller’s ARCS Model of Motivation survey administered on 78 respondents. The data collected were analysed and the results showed high level of students’ motivation despite having to undergo challenges in online distance learning during the MCO. Artistic freedom, the influence of the French revolution and the massive development of musicology had a significant influence on the variety and diversity of compositional forms in the Romantic era. However, many features of the performance style in romantic period require a deeper understanding, especially related to expression features from performer’s perspective. This article examines a number of aspects that correlate with the style of performance in the romantic era. There are three objectives in this article. The first is to correlate compositional works in the romantic era that illustrate the symbiotic relationship between artistic forms and non-musical ideas, especially socio-political sentiments. The second is to review the role of musicology and philosophical perspective in building a structure of knowledge in music performance. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk meneroka faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keberkesanan pengajaran guru pendidikan khas bidang masalah pembelajaran di Program Pendidikan Khas Integrasi (PPKI). Kajian ini berbentuk kajian kualitatif menggunakan reka bentuk kajian kes. Kajian ini menggunakan Model (QAIT) oleh Slavin dan Model Penentuan Kecekapan Guru oleh Cooper. Seramai lapan orang guru pendidikan khas dipilih sebagai peserta kajian daripada lima buah sekolah menengah berdasarkan teknik persampelan bertujuan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui protokol temu bual, pemerhatian dan analisis dokumen. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan dipersembahkan secara naratif. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan keberkesanan pengajaran guru pendidikan khas masalah pembelajaran adalah dari aspek kualiti pengajaran, aras pengajaran, insentif dan masa.
