Abstract
Past research has shown that the effects of prolonged exposure to urban acoustic noise are both detrimental to mind and body. In recent years, studies have also indicated that the socially disadvantaged are more susceptible to environmental hazards such as noise pollution. This paper aims to fill a gap in literature through the evaluation of urban soundscapes by analysing the spatiotemporal patterns of acoustic events within selected New York City (NYC) neighbourhoods and comparing the datum to the socio-economic data of the urban environments. In this paper, the author aims to address this question, ‘Does racial/ethnic composition of each neighbourhood influence how acoustic events are distributed, and in what way does this relate to the socio-economic status of each location?’ This study focuses on seven neighbourhoods within the New York City metropolitan area, each location representing one of the seven levels of noise metadata found on NYC’s 311 noise map. The ambient sounds.....

Abstract
This study was aimed to develop three-dimensional (3D) porous scaffold from blending of chitosan/fish scales collagen/glycerin/nano zinc oxide for skin tissue engineering and skin regenerating template. 3D porous scaffolds were fabricated through freeze dry technique. The 3D porous scaffolds were subjected to phosphate buffer solution (PBS) washing while dehydrothermal (DHT) treatment and chemical treatment using 1-ethyl- 3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)carbodiimide (EDAC)-N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) were used to create crosslinks. The mechanical properties, porosity and swelling ratio of the 3D porous scaffolds have been determined using general procedures. Crosslink density was calculated using the Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) technique while the crosslinking degree has been determined using 2,4,6-trinitrobenzenasulfonic acid (TNBS). Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) analysis was used to examine the morphology of 3D porous scaffolds. The biodegradation rate and cytocom.....

Abstract
This study investigated the impact of perfectionism and self-esteem on burnout with job satisfaction as mediating variable, among Omani teachers in basic education schools in the Governorate of Muscat. A descriptive-analytical approach was employed, and data were collected through a questionnaire administered to a simple random sample of 572 participants. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, as well as structural modeling, were conducted using AMOS software. The results demonstrated that the employed measures of the variables exhibited satisfactory factorial structures and psychometric properties. The findings revealed a statistically significant positive _=0.05 impact for perfectionism and self-esteem on burnout within the study sample, both independently and collectively, with job satisfaction acting as a mediator. No statistically significant differences were observed in self-esteem dimensions based on gender, years of experience, and marital status. Similarly, no significa.....
