Analysis of teaching practice assessment methods for pre-service teachers

Abstract

During the teaching practice, assessment of pre-service teachers’ performance by the institution supervisors and school mentors are the key elements during their placement. The goal of this paper focuses on the assessment methods used nowadays to evaluate the preservice teachers during teaching practice. This article adopted the narrative overviews’ method which also known as a unsystematic narrative review that comprehensively syntheses previously published article journal on teaching practice assessment method. From the literature that has been studied, the were two categories of assessment methods and eight type of assessment methods that can be used to evaluate pre-service teacher during teaching practice. Discussion of the strengths and limitations of each assessment methods for teaching practice during will be discussed in the final part of this paper. Abstract

Teaching practice can be regarded as that the practical section of teacher preparation programmes and it is valued as a critical component in the teacher education which enable preservice teachers to perform the theory acquired at their teacher training institution and put it into practice. During teaching practice, the pre-service teachers will be assessed by the institution supervisors and school mentors using formative and summative assessment to measure the development of their teaching skills as well as all the required skills to be a quality teacher according to the requirement by the teacher training institutions. The use of blogs in improving narrative writing among primary school students

Abstract

The aim of this research was to investigate the effectiveness of using blogs in improving ESL narrative writing among primary school students in a school in Perak, Malaysia. The participants were 30 Year Six students. There were four main objectives in this study. Abstract

Kajian yang dijalankan ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji Kepimpinan Transformasional GPK Kokurikulum dan hubungannya dengan penglibatan kokurikulum murid sekolah komuniti orang Asli di Pahang. Kajian ini juga bertujuan mengkaji perbezaan penglibatan kokurikulum murid Asli sekolah luar bandar dengan pedalaman dan pengaruh kepimpinan transformasional GPK Kokurikulum terhadap penglibatan kokurikulum murid sekolah komuniti orang Asli di Pahang. Pendekatan yang digunakan untuk mengkaji pemboleh ubah dalam kajian ini adalah berbentuk kuantitatif. Seramai 386 orang guru dari 25 buah sekolah orang Asli di Pahang terlibat dalam kajian ini. Instrumen kajian diambil daripada kajian lepas dan disesuaikan mengikut kajian ini dan disahkan oleh 5 orang pakar kesahan. Data dianalisis menggunakan perisian Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) Versi 27.0 serta dianalisis melalui statistik deskriptif dan inferens.
