Journal of Sports Science and Physical Education 5(1): 49-64, 2016 - The aim of this study is to assess health related physical fitness of MSKPPM soccer players (Veteran Category). Besides that, this study also aims to see whether there is any differences based on the health related components of physical fitness according to age group. The samples of this study were 40 soccer players who were involved in a selection, aged between 40 to 49 years. Test battery used in this study is Prudential FITNESSGRAM® by Cooper Institute for Aerobic Research (1992) which includes PACER 20 meter Multistage run, push up, curl up, trunk lift and body mass index (BMI). Data analysis showed that there is significant difference on the different components of health related physical fitness for the different age groups. Calixarenes is widely used as a sensor material due to nanoporous film structure. We used a type of calix[4]arenes to observe the suitability of calixarenes paired with Pb2+ ions. Langmuir Blodgett technique was used to observe the surface pressure-area (Π-A) isotherm, surface potential-area (ΔV-A) isotherm and effective dipole moment (μ⊥) characteristic of the calixarenes due to the binding interaction. The radius of Calixarenes‘ cavity was determined from its isotherm and we found that the cavity‘s radius is inversely proportional to spreading volume. When the PbCl2 salt is introduced into the subphase, the Pb2+ions begin to interact with Mat 3 until stabilization is achieved indicating the greatest number of ions that can bind with Mat 3 has been reached. Hence, ion sensing of Pb2+ ions using Mat 3 can be achieved over the range of 0 - 6.50×10−2-2 mM..

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti kesan penggunaan Kaedah Fonik dalam kemahiran bacaan awal bahasa Melayu dalam kalangan kanak-kanak prasekolah. Kaedah kuasi-eksperimental digunakan dalam kajian ini dengan setiap kumpulan rawatan dan kawalan masing-masing terdiri daripada 50 orang kanak-kanak prasekolah. Kumpulan rawatan menggunakan Kaedah Fonik manakala kumpulan kawalan menggunakan Kaedah Abjad. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan perbezaan skor min yang signifikan bagi pencapaian kemahiran mengeja perkataan dan kemahiran membaca ayat mudah bahasa Melayu bagi kumpulan rawatan. Penggunaan Kaedah Fonik sebagai kaedah pengajaran adalah sesuai digunakan untuk membantu kemahiran mengeja perkataan dan kemahiran membaca ayat mudah bahasa Melayu bagi kanak-kanak prasekolah dalam kajian ini. The objective of this study is to measures the service efficiency and productivity in Malaysian Community Colleges institution before and after the National Higher Education Strategic Plan (NHESP) implementation in 2007. Non-parametric approaches were selected to answer four research questions. Bootstrapped Malmquist total factor productivity (TFP) indices and Hicks-Moorsteen TFP index were employed to explore the consequences of NHESP 2007 on the technical efficiency and productivity changes of community college individually. Thirty four community colleges were analysed over the period 2006-2010 using a balanced panel data. The results of the study showed that community colleges have recorded a large improvement in productivity growth after the implementation of the NHESP. The DEA results also showed scope for improvement in technical efficiency. Furthermore, this study found that the implementation of the NHESP beginning in 2007 has been the main driving force for efficiency changes .....

This study was conducted to determine the level of planning and preparation for the contents of the Physical Education teacher in the implementation of Physical Education curriculum form four of the strand physical fitness. The instrument was a structured interview checklist form. The sample consisted of 50 teachers who teach physical education options in secondary schools in Gombak District. Findings showed that all items in muscular strength component have mean score at the highest level. Based on the overall mean score, the level of planning and preparation for the Physical Education teacher toward curriculum content is high (m = 4:33; sd = .79). Planning and preparation for the contents of this study include the components of cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance and muscular strength. Depression is more frequently experienced among medical students than in the general population. In addition, medical training seems to have a negative impact on students’ mental health. The main objective of this study was therefore to determine the effects of parental support, personality, and self-efficacy on depression among medical students. This study also sought to find out the effects of parental support and personality on self-efficacy. Participants were 1,029 first to fifth year medical students in seven universities in peninsular Malaysia. A set of questionnaires comprised of Career-Related Parent Support Scale, NEO Personality Inventory-Revised, College Self-Efficacy Scale, and Beck Depression Inventory were used to measure parental support, personality, self-efficacy and depression respectively. DPMP ditubuhkan pada 17 Mei 1957 di Sekolah Laki-laki Temerloh. Kira-kira seratus orang penulis, peminat, guru-guru, ustaz merupakan tenaga awal penubuhannya dan mereka inilah yang hadir pada hari yang bersejarah itu. Antara objektif penubuhannya ialah menyatukan penulis-penulis, peminat sastera dan penggiat budaya ke dalam suatu organisasi yang berperlembagaan. Sebelum itu Pahang telah mempunyai penulis yang menulis bersendirian seperti Dato' Shihabudin Zainal Abidin (ulama) yang banyak menghasilkan karya agama dalam genre syair. Dalam kurun kelima belas hingga ketujuh belas tradisi menulis terus menerus disambung pula oleh Cikgu Ahmad Kotot, Hikayat Percintaan Kasih Kemudaan diterbitkan tahun 1928. Cikgu Ahmad adalah bekas penuntut Maktab Perguruan Melaka sebelum berpindah ke Tanjung Malim. Selepas itu timbul pula penulis IBHY iaitu Ibrahim Haji Yaacob yang banyak menulis rencana-rencana tentang nasib dan perjuangan orang-orang Melayu.
