Abstract
This study proposed the examination of the impact of board diversity on executive compensation in emerging economies such as Malaysia. Diversity of board has been promoted in the Malaysian Code on Corporate Governance (MCCG, 2021) and the implementation of such policy is costly to the firms. Excessive executive compensation has been one of the main problems in the corporate world in Malaysia. While the cost and benefit effects of diversity in the context of an emerging economy are not clear, the diversity in the board that seems to work well in the Western business culture might not necessarily be compatible with Malaysian culture, where the traditional values, culture, and religions are being adhered. The sample is comprised of listed firms in Malaysia during the year 2021 to 2023. Board diversity is measured using gender diversity, age diversity, and ethnicity diversity. The executive compensation is measured using the total compensation received by the board of directors. It is expe.....

Abstract
The main aim of this study is to investigate neural effect of using whole-body vibration (WBV) modality, as a non-fatiguing training stimulus (active recovery), metabolic performance (blood lactate) and heart rate responses during the inter-set rest period of hypertrophy based loading. Second to this, comparisons were also made between WBV effects versus traditionally use passive recovery method. Eight recreationally trained men were recruited for this study. Subjects randomly attended to testing sessions, where WBV modality was used during the inter-set rest period in one session and passive standing recovery was used in another session. In both sessions, subjects performed three sets of 10 repetition of squat exercise at 70% 1RM with 2 minutes inter-set rest period. Quadriceps and hamstring in-vivo muscle activation were assessed during the squat performance. The result of this study indicated that no significant differences were found between WBV active recoveries versus non-WBV pas.....

Abstract
This study empirically examined the relationship between board diversity and executive compensation among public listed company in Malaysia. A total of 312 observations was made based on selected samples by using stratified random sampling method from Bursa Malaysia from 2016 until 2018. The sample consist of non-financial listed firms from various industry sectors. This study used panel data analysis with random effect to see the relationship between the variables tested. The analysis showed that there are significant relationships between board diversity and executive compensation. The diversity of age, ethnicity and nationality diversity are significantly related to executive compensation. Moreover, some additional tests were done to see the relationship between board diversity and executive compensation, whic.....
