Abstract
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Centre of Foundation Studies at Universiti Teknologi MARA, Cawangan Selangor, Kampus Dengkil, launched an online Foundation Chemistry I course from August to December 2021, catering to science and engineering students. This course is a notable example of efficient online teaching methods for chemistry. We utilized various applications such as YouTube and Google Classroom to create a network platform. Moreover, we provided personal insights on high-quality online teaching for foundation chemistry. We incorporated various resources shared through Google Classroom to engage students during class, including online notes, prerecorded lectures (also shared on YouTube), and tutorials. Google Classroom provides a platform for distributing quizzes, assignments, and assessments to students, which enables teachers to keep track of their progress and provide them with feedback on their performance. The study revealed that the students performed exceptional.....

Abstract
This article presents a study on the strength of Islamic values in mentoring start-up entrepreneurs by lecturers. This study explored how attachment to Islamic values can be a support for mentors in the mentoring process. This qualitative research employed an in-depth, semi-structured interview protocol, as validated by four inter-raters, with Cohen's Kappa rating of 1.00. The purposive sampling method was used, specifically targeting PolyCC academics who have been identified as the top 15 candidates in the Best Entrepreneurship Mentor Award category in the Ministry of Higher Education Entrepreneurship Award (MEA) 2021 and the finalists in the PolyCC Academia Award: Category Outstanding Entrepreneurship Mentor Award 2022. The data collected from the interviews were subjected to a thematic analysis using the ATLAS.ti 9 software in order to uncover recurring themes, patterns, and relationships among different aspects within the data. The empirical finding in this study showed that Islami.....

Abstract
This study intends to explore the potential of integrating of two major theories that stemmed from two entirely different disciplines, namely the human-computer interaction and the arts. Indeed, there are vast gaps when two different theories, such as technology and art, are to be unified to develop a new element that complements to both disciplines. Empirically, virtual reality as immersive technological innovations are progressively developed and evaluated among various disciplines. Virtual reality technically is customarily to immersive experience as a measurement tool while virtual three-dimensional animated environment in virtual reality is an aesthetic object that requires an aesthetic-friendly method as its measurement tool. The proposition of evaluation is to measure the user immersive experience and aesthetic experience when dealing with an art object that imbues with digital technology. Therefore, an integrative multidimensional evaluation is required to evaluate virtual real.....

Abstract
The evaluation of information systems (IS) models, which are employed to research the adoption or acceptance of metaverse systems, is thought to be a subject of major significance. Studying the adoption or acceptability of the metaverse system is not a recent study area, and many academics have taken on the task. We should be acquainted with the leading IS models used in this study trend to assess these models and give academics a comprehensive understanding of this study trend. The primary goal of this research, in contrast to previous reviews, is to systematically evaluate the metaverse research in education from the viewpoint of IS theories/models to offer a thorough pointer that might help the scholars to carry out additional research in metaverse acceptance. A total of 41 research that was published between 2011 and 2022 were examined in the present systematic review. The main study results showed that the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) is recognized as the most widely used mod.....

Abstract
The metaverse is an envisioned realm offering immersive digital spaces, bolstering highly interactive environments within educational contexts. This digital dimension amplifies synchronous communication, uniting a vast number of users as they share their unique experiences. This research aims to scrutinize the perceptions of elementary students towards the metaverse system (MS). Our proposed model underwent validation through the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) technique. Data, sourced from 287 students of Dubai National School, revealed that the primary predictor of students' intent to engage with the MS is personal innovativeness. This is followed closely by perceived usefulness and then perceived ease of use. The findings of this research provide deeper insights into the driving factors behind the adoption of MS among young learners. © 2024, Semarak Ilmu Publishing. All rights reserved...

Abstract
Effective learning is crucial for helping young people gain knowledge, skills, and overall development. This study aims to identify key factors necessary for effective learning in rehabilitation schools for juveniles. A constructivist grounded theory (CGT) approach was employed to gain a deeper understanding. Fifteen teachers, three administrators, and five education experts participated in the study using purposive sampling. Data was collected via in-depth interviews with these participants. The thematic analysis revealed four main themes essential for effective learning among juveniles: teachers (qualifications, teaching methods, and attitudes), juveniles (emotions and interest in learning), rehabilitation schools (administrator support and learning facilities), and community (support from families and assistance from governmental and non-governmental organizations). This research highlights the elements that all stakeholders need to address to ensure effective learning for juveniles.....

Abstract
Insurance fraud claims have become a major problem in the insurance industry. Several investigations have been carried out to eliminate negative impacts on the insurance industry as this immoral act has caused the loss of billions of dollars. In this paper, a comparative study was carried out to assess the performance of various classification models, namely logistic regression, neural network (NN), support vector machine (SVM), tree augmented naïve Bayes (NB), decision tree (DT), random forest (RF) and AdaBoost with different model settings for predicting automobile insurance fraud claims. Results reveal that the tree augmented NB outperformed other models based on several performance metrics with accuracy (79.35%), sensitivity (44.70%), misclassification rate (20.65%), area under curve (0.81) and Gini (0.62). In addition, the result shows that the AdaBoost algorithm can improve the classification performance of the decision tree. These findings are useful for insurance professionals.....

Abstract
Sentiment analysis has become an indispensable tool in interpreting vast amounts of data generated from social media platforms, providing insights into public opinions on a variety of topics. This is particularly relevant in the context of emerging technologies like the Metaverse, which are frequently discussed across digital platforms. Traditional sentiment analysis tools struggle with the volume and complexity of data, particularly when dealing with nuanced discussions around new technologies such as the Metaverse. Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), known for their success in image processing, have not been extensively validated for their efficacy in analyzing sentiment from text-based social media data. This study introduces a novel approach by applying CNNs specifically to Metaverse-related tweets. This approach leverages CNNs’ ability to extract meaningful patterns from complex textual data, offering potentially superior performance over traditional models. We utilized a data.....

Abstract
In parallel with the rapid development of tahfiz, various aspects of tahfiz education should be improved. This includes the process of teaching and facilitating Hifz al-Quran in tahfiz institutions to promote the excellence of tahfiz students in memorization. Therefore, this study aims to gain expert opinion and consensus on items under the dimensions of VARK in an effort to develop the Smart Quran Model for the teaching and facilitation of Hifz al-Quran. In this study, researchers used Fuzzy Delphi Method which involved 10 experts in the field of tahfiz education. A total of 20 questionnaire items were given to experts to be evaluated. The data obtained is analyzed using Microsoft Excel software. Items received must meet all three conditions, i.e. the Threshold value (d) is equal to or less than 0.2, the percentage of expert group agreement exceeds 75%, and Amax exceeds α-cut = 0.5. The results showed that the feedback from experts on items under the VARK dimension in the Smart Quran.....
