Ibn Khaldun’s concept of pragmatism and its relevance to the development of islamic education in Indonesia

The pragmatism philosophy of education emphasizes that ideas must be tested in the form of experiments and sees education as the most important component in the change and progress of society pragmatically. Among its figures is Ibn Khaldun with an empirical-pragmatic style of thought. The purpose of this research is to explore the idea of Ibn Khaldun's pragmatic thinking and assess its relevance in the development of Islamic education in Indonesia. This research applies a philosophical-historical approach in using library research method. Information comes from Ibn Khaldun's works and various types of literature such as books, magazines, relevant documents. The method used in this research is to use a qualitative approach with an ethnographic type of research which aims to find out in depth the phenomena related to the values of multicultural Islamic education in the culture of the Islamic University of Malang. The research results show thatThe values of multicultural Islamic education at the Islamic University of Malang are very varied. Audit quality and financial reporting quality among quoted non-financial firms in Nigeria

This study investigated the effect of audit quality on financial reporting quality in Nigeria. The audit quality was proxied with audit firm size, audit fee, audit tenure and audit committee financial expertise on financial reporting quality in Nigeria. This study adopted a stratified sampling technique to select 50 non-financial firms, which cut across 10 sectors from 2015 to 2022. The dependent variable (FRQ) was measured using accruals quality, while the explanatory variables were measured using; audit firm size, audit fee, audit tenure and audit committee financial expertise. The panel data set were analyzed using pooled, fixed and random effects estimator, while Hausman test and L.M test were used to select the best estimates. The results of this study revealed that audit firm size has a non-significant negative effect on financial reporting quality. Kesan psikologi terhadap penamaan nasab anak tak sah taraf kepada Abdullah: Analisis Fatwa Kebangsaan

Keputusan Fatwa Kebangsaan terhadap penamaan nasab anak tak sah taraf (ATST) adalah tidak harus untuk dinasabkan kepada bapa biologinya berasaskan kepada sumber-sumber yang kuat daripada al-Quran dan al-Sunnah. Oleh yang demikian, ATST tersebut perlulah dinasabkan kepada ibu sebagai jalur nasab yang sah. Namun begitu, Fatwa Kebangsaan telah memutuskan untuk digantikan dengan nama Abdullah bagi tujuan untuk mengelakkan kesan psikologi dan masalah sosial yang terjadi kepada anak tersebut. Malangnya, objektif dan matlamat tersebut tidaklah seperti yang diinginkan apabila anak-anak itu didakwa menunjukkan kesan yang negatif apabila penamaan mereka dinasabkan kepada Abdullah. Islamic religious education management for elementary school students in islamic educational institutions

This paper aims to analyse the process of Islamic education in Elementary Schools. It is assumed that the curriculum guides students to achieve the expected goals. In addition to developing intelligent and competent human resources, education must focus on religion, morality, noble morals, and culture. This research method is qualitative with library research; researchers use theories and relationships between variables or effects from books and online journals from Mendeley, Google Scholar and other online media. The results of the study indicate that Islamic religious education at the Elementary School level is moderate Islamic religious education. Students are invited to study Islamic teachings on how to respond to many things politely or prioritise tolerance. Students are taught morals in a broader relationship through the subjects of aqidah, the history of Islamic culture in the Qur'an, and morals in their relationship with Allah SWT, themselves and nature. Harussani Zakaria merupakan salah seorang bekas mufti yang cukup terkenal di negeri Perak Darul Ridzuan. Kehebatan tokoh ini tidak dapat disangkal lagi apabila beliau telah menerima anugerah Tokoh Ulama Sepanjang Zaman yang diumumkan dalam Majlis Perdana Ulama-Umara dan Pertubuhan Bukan Kerajaan (NGO) Islam pada tahun 2017. Di samping kesibukan mufti Harussani dalam memimpin hal ehwal agama di negeri Perak, beliau juga tidak terlepas dalam memimpin ahli keluarganya yang menjadi tanggungjawab dan amanah pada setiap ketua keluarga. Awareness and attitude of islamiyyah schools of inclusive education in South West, Nigeria

This study assessed the Awareness and Attitude of Islamiyyah Schools on Inclusive Education in South West, Nigeria. This study adopted descriptive research design. The population consists of all the teachers and school leaders available in all Islamiyyah Schools in South west, Nigeria out of which five Islamiyyah Schools (30 across all states), 25 respondents (150 across all states) were selected as using disproportionate random sampling technique. The instruments used for collection of data is a self-constructed questionnaire titled "Questionnaire on Awareness and Attitude of Islamiyyah Schools on Inclusive Education in South west, Nigeria (QAAISIESWN). The study reveals a notable low level of awareness among Islamiyyah schools regarding inclusive education. The findings underscore a critical need for targeted awareness campaigns and policy reforms to align with the principles of inclusivity in among Muslim youth schools in the sub region.
