Laili Farhana Md Ibharim
Virtual reality (VR) is an innovative technology that immerses users within its environment, holding significant potential across various sectors, including education. Developing a VR-based application in the form of a game for educational purposes necessitates a usability evaluation. This study aims to develop and evaluate usability of a VR game, CT Saber, designed explicitly for learning computational thinking (CT). The name CT Saber is inspired by the popular VR game Beat Saber, with 'CT' denoting computational thinking to emphasize the educational focus of the game. The research employed a Design and Development Research (DDR) approach, encompassing four stages: analysis & definition, design, development, and evaluation. To assess the usability of CT Saber, pilot testing was carried out involving 36 participants (24 male, 12 female) of computer science students aged between 19-22 years. The USE Questionnaire framework was used to evaluate usability, consisting of four variables: us.....

Computational exploration of flavonoids from the genus Knema with anti-inflammatory potential
Wan Mohd Nuzul Hakimi W Salleh
Inflammation, a widespread biological process linked to various diseases, poses a significant global health challenge. Recent research targeting the development of new anti-inflammatory drugs has prioritized plant-derived compounds due to their cost-effectiveness and minimal side effects compared to synthetic drugs. Flavonoids, polyphenolic compounds in plants, show potential for treating inflammation-related diseases. This study evaluates the anti-inflammatory activity of flavonoids from the Knema genus, a member of the Myristicaceae family. We focused on inhibiting two pro-inflammatory proteins, human and murine interleukin-1B (IL-1) and human interleukin-6 (IL-6). Molecular docking and ADMET prediction identified sulfuretin and (_)-catechin with high binding affinity to IL-6, whereas 4'-hydroxy-7-methoxyflava-none and 7,2'-dihydroxy-6,8-dimethyl-4',5'-methylenedioxyflavan stably bind IL-6. Molecular interaction analyses revealed that hydrogen and ___ bonds contribute to the interact.....

Molecular modelling comparisons, optical and band gap characterisation of 4-Sulfocalix[4] arene thin film
Faridah Lisa Supian
The advantageous property of water-soluble calixarenes is their ability to form stable complexes with inorganic guest molecules. Due to these attributes, their application in areas including molecular recognition, sensing, and supramolecular chemistry is extraordinarily alluring. The 4-sulfocalix[4]arene (SC[4]) is a water-soluble molecule and a derivative of the calixarene family that has both aromatic rings and sulfonate groups. The thin films were prepared using a spin-coating technique and characterised by Ultraviolet-Visible Spectroscopy (UV-Vis). By employing the Corey-Pauling-Koltun (CPK) model in conjunction with density functional theory (DFT), the height and diameter of SC[4] were precisely determined by devotedly representing its molecular shape and size. Then, the calixarene thin film_s optical properties and light absorption by the thin film were determined using the absorbance graph and Beer-Lambert law equation. The band gap energy of the thin film was determined to be e.....

The development of the National Football Development Program (NFDP) coaching process model: Emphasis on Small Sided Game (SSG) approach
Zulakbal Abd Karim
Small-sided games (SSGs) are played on reduced pitch areas, often using modified rules and involving a smaller number of players than traditional football. These games are less structured than traditional fitness training methods but are very popular training drills for players of all ages and levels. At present, there is relatively little information regarding how SSGs can best be used to improve physical capacities and technical or tactical skills in footballers. However, many prescriptive variables controlled by the coach can influence the exercise intensity during SSGs. In the context of soccer instruction, SSGs are frequently employed to give an engaging method of preserving the dynamics of an official game while making particular alterations to concentrate on certain behaviors and movements. Models for coaching provides some insight and guidelines into what coaches do. The purpose of the study is to build a coaching process model based on the "Small Sided Game" approach. The qual.....
