Hospital selection framework for remote MCD patients based on fuzzy q-rung orthopair environment
Alamoodi, Abdullah Hussein
This research proposes a novel mobile health-based hospital selection framework for remote patients with multi-chronic diseases based on wearable body medical sensors that use the Internet of Things. The proposed framework uses two powerful multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) methods, namely fuzzy-weighted zero-inconsistency and fuzzy decision by opinion score method for criteria weighting and hospital ranking. The development of both methods is based on a Q-rung orthopair fuzzy environment to address the uncertainty issues associated with the case study in this research. The other MCDM issues of multiple criteria, various levels of significance and data variation are also addressed. The proposed framework comprises two main phases, namely identification and development. The first phase discusses the telemedicine architecture selected, patient dataset used and decision matrix integrated. The development phase discusses criteria weighting by q-ROFWZIC and hospital ranking by q-ROFDOSM.....

Anxiety status of junior archers in Covid-19 during training isolation period towards the shooting performance
Wan Nurlisa Wan Ahmad
Studies have indicated that the COVID-19 pandemic has had miserable effects on athlete performance due to the movement control order (MCO) announced by the Malaysia Government. Dealing with self-training without the coach's guidance leads the archers to lose concentration, diminished self-confidence, and elevated anxiety levels. These factors contribute to inconsistent shooting performance. This study attempted to identify the archer's anxiety status during the training isolation period on the shooting performance. A total of 32 participants from the recurve archery category were recruited and enrolled in a web-based cross-sectional study during the MCO. The CSAI-2R instrument was applied to participants to examine the psychological aspect. Training Isolation resulted in a significant effect on anxiety status and shooting performance. Analysis from CSAI-2R, low-level archers, indicated 5% more anxiety than top-level archers for both cognitive and somatic anxiety sub-component. In contr.....

A comparing key performance indicator and benchmarks of quality pre-school among the agency in Malaysia
Nordin Mamat
High quality early childhood education (ECE) enables children to enjoy the experience and have nurturing environment that promotes holistic development. The key performance indicators such as quality pre-schools environment, teachers and assistant teachers, learning materials have been predicted to produce desirable outcomes. However, the challenge is to identify the predictors that can quantify the definition of a quality teacher. This study uses questionnaire to assess individual perceptions and views on quality key performance indicators of early childhood pre-school center. The studys findings revealed that the gap analysis related to the qualification of pre-school teachers and ratio teacher-child below the standard. Even though teacher-child ratio in private pre-schools is small because most of preschools do not employ assistant teacher as practiced in other pre-schools. Thus, the study found that the performance of childrens abilities in Ministry of Education pre-school and priv.....

Role of social factors, self-efficacy and technological support on the use of virtual learning environment among teachers
Noor Lela Ahmad
Virtual learning environment (VLE) has been introduced in educational institutions such as schools, colleges, and universities to encourage a systematic online teaching and learning platform. This paper aims to examine the effect of social factors, self-efficacy, and technological support on the utilization of VLE in the educational process. A quantitative approach was employed and the data was collected through a set of questionnaires administered to selected respondents. A total of 356 accounting teachers from secondary schools in Peninsular Malaysia were chosen as the samples. A reflective measurement model in partial least square-structural equation modeling was utilized to measure the effect of the exogenous latent variable on the endogenous latent variable. Results indicated that social factors namely (colleagues, administrators, and school culture) significantly affect the use of VLE among teachers. Further, self-efficacy and technological support namely (facilities quality, int.....

Cross-reactivity analysis of milk proteins from different goat breeds with cow milk allergens using a proteomic approach
Al-Obaidi, Jameel R.
Introduction: Goat's milk thought to be a good substitute for cow's milk protein allergic (CMPA) individuals. However, there is growing evidence that their proteins have cross-reactivities with cow's milk allergens. This study aimed to profile and compare milk proteins from different goat breeds that have cross-reactivity to cow's milk allergens. Methodology: Proteomics was used to compare protein extracts of skim milk from Saanen, Jamnapari, and Toggenburg. Cow's milk was used as a control. IgE-immunoblotting and mass spectrometry were used to compare and identify proteins that cross-reacted with serum IgE from CMPA patients (n = 10). Results: The analysis of IgE-reactive proteins revealed that the protein spots identified with high confidence were proteins homologous to common cow's milk allergens such as ?-S1-casein (?S1-CN), ?-casein (?-CN), ?-casein (?-CN), and beta-lactoglobulin (?-LG). Jamnapari's milk proteins were found to cross-react with four major milk allergens: ?-S1-CN, ?.....

Acoustic Doppler effect experiment: integration of frequency sound generator, tracker and visual analyser
Anis Nazihah Mat Daud
This study was conducted to design an acoustic Doppler effect experimental setup by integrating the frequency sound generator application, tracker and visual analyser. The experimental setup was evaluated by determining the frequency of the sound source in four cases; (a) a stationary observer and a moving sound source, (b) a stationary sound source and a moving observer, (c) a sound source and an observer are moving in the same direction and (d) a sound source and an observer are moving in the opposite direction. The findings showed that the percentage errors for the calculated values of the sound source frequency were less than 0.40% compared to the reference values for all four cases. Hence, the proposed acoustic Doppler effect experimental setup can be used to improve the acoustic Doppler effect concept among students. 2023 IOP Publishing Ltd...

Fractional order sliding mode controller based on supervised machine learning techniques for speed control of PMSM
Fardila Mohd Zaihidee
Tracking the speed and current in permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) for industrial applications is challenging due to various external and internal disturbances such as parameter variations, unmodelled dynamics, and external load disturbances. Inaccurate tracking of speed and current results in severe system deterioration and overheating. Therefore, the design of the controller for a PMSM is essential to ensure the system can operate efficiently under conditions of parametric uncertainties and significant variations. The present work proposes a PMSM speed controller using machine learning (ML) techniques for quick response and insensitivity to parameter changes and disturbances. The proposed ML controller is designed by learning fractional-order sliding mode control (FOSMC) controller behavior. The primary purpose of using ML in FOSMC is to avoid the self-tuning of the parameters and ensure the speed reaches the reference value in finite time with faster convergence and bette.....
