Aesthetics of life in landscape poetry by Nam Chou Poets (1973-1990)

The classical landscape poetry has its own function of aesthetics of life according to the traditional Chinese literary criticism. This thesis explores the structure of aesthetics of life of the contemporary classical landscape poetry created by the Nam Chou Poetry Anthology in Malaysia from 1973 to 1990. To expose the nature of the structure, this thesis also indicates it from the perspective of aesthetics of life of Tang's landscape poetry. Throughout the study, the implication of the Nam Chou Poetry's landscape poetry can be divided thematically into three phases: the Autumn Period (1973), the Mount and Water Period (1974-1980), and the Mount Period (1981-1990). However, the nature of the whole landscape poetries can be aesthetically summarized as quite similar to the leisure poetry of the great landscape poet in the Tang, Bai Juyi (772-846), which is smooth and graceful in feeling and its beauty, plain and fascinating. Kesahan dan kebolehpercayaan instrumen penilaian kendiri pembelajaran algebra tingkatan empat

Kajian ini bertujuan membina instrumen penilaian murid tingkatan 4 bagi pembelajaran algebra dalam Matematik dan Matematik Tambahan. Topik-topik yang dikaji bagi subjek Matematik adalah Ungkapan dan Persamaan Kuadratik dan Garis Lurus. Manakala bagi subjek Matematik Tambahan, topik-topik yang dikaji adalah Fungsi, Persamaan Kuadratik, Fungsi Kuadratik, Persamaan Serentak dan Indeks dan Logaritma. Kaedah yang digunakan untuk membina instrumen dalam kajian ini melibatkan dua fasa, iaitu kajian literatur dan kajian rintis. Dapatan daripada kajian literatur telah mengenal pasti lima konstruk, iaitu minat, gaya pembelajaran, pengetahuan asas menengah rendah, penggunaan bahan bantu mengajar dalam pengajaran dan isi kandungan algebra. Dapatan daripada kajian rintis pula adalah kesahan kandungan instrumen oleh lima orang pakar iaitu guru yang berpengalaman dalam mengajar Matematik dan Matematik Tambahan serta pensyarah universiti. Modelling the relationship among servant leadership, organisational citizenship behaviour and teacher commitment

This study was aimed to develop an empirically substantiated Language Subject Leader Servant Leadership Attributes (SLSLA) Model. The study also aspired to test the model of Malay Language Subject Panel Head Organisational Citizenship Behaviour (SPHOCB) and Teacher Commitment (TEACOM). Meanwhile, it also aimed to identify whether SLSLA is significantly related to SPHOCB and whether the SPHOCB is significantly related to TEACOM. Ultimately, this study aimed to ascertain whether SPHOCB significantly mediate the relationship between SLSLA and TEACOM. Quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modelling using AMOS Version 21 was applied to test the models. A total of 820 Malay Language teachers from 198 National Secondary Schools completed the questionnaire. Exploratory Factor Analysis yielded a five-factor SLSLA Model which consists the dimensions of a) Self- Competence; b) Shares Leadership; c) Accountability; d) Teacher Capacity Building; and e) Stewardship. Pengaruh kecerdasan pelbagai terhadap pencapaian akademik pelajar tingkatan enam bagi subjek Pengajian Perniagaan di Larut Matang dan Selama Perak

Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk meneliti pengaruh kecerdasan pelbagai terhadap pencapaian akademik pelajar bagi subjek Pengajian Perniagaan di daerah Larut Matang dan Selama (LMS), Perak. Kajian kuantitatif ini melibatkan 291 orang responden yang terdiri daripada pelajar menengah dari lapan buah sekolah di daerah LMS yang dipilih secara rawak. Instrumen Multiple Intelligences Test yang dibangunkan oleh Gardner berasaskan teori kecerdasan pelbagai oleh Gardner (1983) digunakan dalam kajian untuk menentukan pengaruh lapan domain kecerdasan pelbagai terhadap pelajar tingkatan enam dalam pencapaian akademik subjek Pengajian Perniagaan. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferens iaitu Ujian T, ANOVA sehala, ujian korelasi Pearson dan ujian regresi pelbagai.
