The relationship between perfectionism and self esteem and its impact towards burnout through job satisfaction as a intermediate variable among Omani teachers

This study investigated the impact of perfectionism and self-esteem on burnout with job satisfaction as mediating variable, among Omani teachers in basic education schools in the Governorate of Muscat. A descriptive-analytical approach was employed, and data were collected through a questionnaire administered to a simple random sample of 572 participants. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, as well as structural modeling, were conducted using AMOS software. The results demonstrated that the employed measures of the variables exhibited satisfactory factorial structures and psychometric properties. The findings revealed a statistically significant positive _=0.05 impact for perfectionism and self-esteem on burnout within the study sample, both independently and collectively, with job satisfaction acting as a mediator.
