Gender diversity issue is also constantly being a debated issue in corporate governance. This research aims to investigate the effects of women directorship towards the impact of board structure in Malaysian GLCs. Our sample consists of a total of 18 public listed Malaysian Government-Linked Companies from 2003 to 2012. The study examine the impact of women directors as interacting variables to board meeting, board size and independent board on the GLCs performance. The results reveal positive relationship exists between board size and board independence towards GLCs performance while negative relationship exists between board meetings towards firm performance. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pembentukan novel Niehai Hua dalam konteks masyarakat pada akhir Dinasti Qing. Teori lapangan Bourdieu telah diaplikasikan dalam kajian ini  dan novel Niehai Hua diletakkan dalam suatu lapangan yang berunsurkan masyarakat akhir Dinasti Qing  untuk membincang secara menyeluruh tentang pengaruhnya terhadap penulisan novel Niehai Hua. Dapatan  kajian menunjukkan bahawa pengalaman kehidupan dan latar masyarakat yang dialami oleh Zeng Pu telah  mempengaruhi pemikirannya dalam penulisan dan pembentukan tema novel ini. Kandungan yang dihuraikan  dalam novel Niehai Hua berkait rapat dengan realiti masyarakat, maka tema-tema novel ini telah  merangkumi kritikan mengenai kemerosotan politik akhir Dinasti Qing, pendedahan tentang  pencerobohan kuasa- kuasa imperialisme serta pujian terhadap ideologi pembaharuan dan revolusi.  Kesimpulan daripada kajian ialah pengaruh latar masyarakat akhir Dinasti Qing dan latar belakang  kehidupan Zeng Pu te.....

The main objective of this study is to know the reality of teaching Arabic in women's mosques in  Henan Province, China, especially in the field of teaching methods and the problems faced by female  teachers and female students during teaching and learning Arabic. The study was based on the  historical method of discovering the establishment of women mosques in Henan and its teaching  Arabic language. The field approach was used to highlight the teaching methods and the problems  that teachers and students face when teaching and studying the Arabic language through the method  of observation and interview. Kajian ini meneliti hubungan Wuxu Zhengbian Ji ???????(Riwayat tentang Rampasan Kuasa 1898) yang dikarang oleh Liang Qichao ( ???) dengan kemunculan penulisan sastera laporan pada penghujung Dinasti Qing. Kajian ini memberi tumpuan kepada sumbangan Liang Qichao sebagai pengasas penting dalam peringkat awal penulisan sastera laporan Cina. Pendekatan Teori Penciptaan Gaya dan Teori Estetik Resepsi digunakan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi penulisan sastera laporan. Dapatan kajian ini menunjukkan karya Wuxu Zhengbian Ji merupakan salah satu penulisan sastera laporan yang berpengaruh kepada kemunculan genre sastera laporan yang baharu pada penghujung Dinasti Qing kerana Wuxu Zhengbian Ji merangkumi unsur-unsur sastera laporan iaitu unsur keperibadian, unsur kebenaran, unsur kesegeraan, unsur realiti dan unsur sastera. Art plays a vital role in the construction of nationalism. This thesis examines Shanxi Xiao Huaxi in Zuo Quan County as part of the national discourse, focusing on how traditional dance contributed to the construction of nationalism through peasant culture during the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937_1949), the founding of the People_s Republic of China (1949_1966), and the Cultural Revolution (1966_1976). The study has three primary objectives: to explain how Xiao Huaxi became a form of peasant culture, to analyse changes in its choreography, and to explore how its choreography embodies nationalism. To achieve these objectives, the research adopted ethnographic and historical methods, employing content and narrative analysis to evaluate data collected through semi-structured interviews and archival research. This study is intended to investigate  the literary achievement and the  graceful style reflected  in  Nalan’s  poetry  works  based  on  Wong  Guowei’s  literary  criticism.  In  addition, the influencing factors that formed the aesthetic features in Nalan’s poetries are also  the focus of this study. The methodology of interpretation applied here  are Hermeneutics,  Aesthetic of Reception and Kant’s Aesthetics with the aim to correlate the beauty of his poetries  with the personal background of the poet and the era of Qing Dynasty. Chang Hsueh-cheng, a scholar from Dynasty Qing said that “record the life and current events as well as his attitude, subsequently understand his word, this is the knowledge of knowing both the author and his time.” Nianpu or chronology speaks for itself, clearly proved the meaning of it’s existence. For instance, historian Chien Ta-hsin on his own published five chronology books, he put emphasis on the character’s date of birth and death, he published a book “The Questionable Date of Birth and Death”. Hu Shih named it as the “embroidery needle” style of academy training. On the Malaysian academic history and literary history, very few scholar put emphasis on it. Duan Yucai was renowned philologist and scholar during the Qi anlong and Jiaqing periods of the Qing Dynasty. He possessed extensive knowledge and authored numerous works, with his masterpiece Shuo Wen Jie Zi Zhu gaining great recognition in academic circles. Li Y u, a playwright in the early Qing Dynasty, proposed the signific ant “structural theory” for the development of Chinese drama. This paper begins by discussing the concept of structural organization in his vernacular novel Twelve Towers , exploring how Li Y u, prior to putting forth the “structure comes first” theory, used the construction of “towers” as a narrative framework in the novel, to establish the spatial and thematic significance for the characters and activities within the story.
