A review study on synthesis methods of agnanoparticles, considering antibacterial property and cytotoxicity
Mustafa Mudhafar
Silver nanoparticles (AgNP) have been used in many medical and biological applications due to their unique features and characteristics. One of the most important issues researchers address in nanoscience is finding suitable methods to produce nanoparticles with environmentally friendly and non-toxic properties. The unique chemical, physical and biological properties that AgNP possesses give that impetus to developing their production methods. In recent years, there have been many studies documented for the production of AgNP during the development of green synthesis methods (GSM). The present study describes methods for the GSM of AgNP, their biological properties, and other applications, giving the most appropriate methods to synthesize AgNP.AgNP is one of the essential metallic particles, as they can be manufactured and designed in easy ways, and they are also adjustable because they were used in many fields such as catalysts, ideal biometrics, and photo-controlled delivery Systems......

Green synthesis of silver nanoparticles using neem and collagen of fish scales as a reducing and stabilizer agents
Mudhafar, Mustafa
This study was conducted to synthesize and characterize silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using a rapid green synthesis approach. Antibacterial properties of AgNPs were evaluated. Extract of Melia Dubia (Neem) and collagen produced from the fish scales were used as reducing and stabilizer agents respectively. Uv-Vis Spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy-Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy (EDX), Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), and Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) were used to characterize the synthesized AgNPs. Evaluation of the synthesized AgNP's antibacterial activity was conducted, with Staphylococcus Aureus (S. aureus) as Gram-positive and Escherichia Coli (E. coli) as the negative bacteria. The peak of absorbance for the synthesized AgNPs was at 454 nm, indicating conformed AgNPs. SEM image showed semi-evenly distributed rod shapes. The EDX data revealed presence of the metallic silver. Meanwhile, FTIR analysis indicated presence of C2H2, C=O, N-H groups. DLS.....

Preparation and characterization of beads of fish scales hydroxyapatite/collagen /silver nanoparticles by using infiltration method
Mudhafar, Mustafa
The composites of hydroxyapatite/collagen (HA/Col) were seen to be the most encouraging bone graft because of the likenesses with the natural bones .The aim of the present study was to prepared the fish scales hydroxyapatite/collagen /silver nanoparticles (FsHA/FsCol/AgNPs) as a beads by using infiltration method. FsHA/FsCol/AgNPs composites beads were prepared by using new method (infiltration), including to infiltrated of FsHA beads in the FsCol-AgNPs solution. The composites beads of the FsHA/FsCol have been modified by incorporated with AgNPs. The chemical-physical properties for the prepared beads have been evaluated by using fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive x-ray analysis (EDX) and x ray diffraction analysis (XRD). The results had revealed that by using XRD and FTIR analysis, the peaks of functional groups of FsCol and AgNPs were observed in the matrix of the beads. FESEM had shown the morphology of beads with i.....

Fish scale hydroxyapatite/collagen composites incorporated with silver nanoparticles for bone filler applications
Jahil, Mustafa Mudhafar
The aim  of this  study  was  to  improve  antimicrobial  properties  of fish  scales  hydroxyapatite/fish collagen (FsHA/FsCol) composites through infiltration of silver nanoparticles  into the matrix for antimicrobial bone filller substitute. In this sudy both hydroxyapatite and  collagen were extracted from fish scales using simple hydrothermal extraction method. Silver  nanoparticles (AgNPs) were synthesized from silver nitrate using microwave-assisted method in which  neems leaves extract was used as reducing agent while fish collagen as stabilizer. FsHA/FsCol/AgNPs  composites were prepared in a form of powders and beads using two different methods. Chemical and  physical properties of AgNPs and FsHA/FsCol/AgNPs composites were characterized using field  emmision scanning electron microscope with energy dispersive x-ray (FESEM-EDX), transmission   electron  microscopy  (TEM),  Fourier transform  infrared  spectroscopy (FTIR) and  x-ray  diffrac.....
