| 1 | 2019 Thesis | Tourism service design: promoting Malaysian culture through national identity at Kuala Lumpur International Airport Phoon, Gar Chi Airport is a great place to exhibit local values and the spirits of a country. The purpose of
this study was to explore how airports can become a potentially an immersive space that evokes the
local culture to create a sense of place for travellers. Nine international participants were
selected from Asia, Europe and America countries with different educational background. Qualitative
data collection methods included one month ethnographic observation, service design workshop and
interviews. The first phase of data collection methods consists of gaining customers’ insight from
various instruments such as persona, user journey map and role play simulation. These instruments
were applied to understand the customer’s journey and user experience from a specific persona’s

| 2 | 2024 Final Year Project | Development and perception of the "Genetic Holic" digital game application among Biology education undergraduate students Phoon, Yan Qi The misconceptions on genetics topics among teachers and students were common,
resulting in declining interest among the young generation in the STEM field. The study
research questions consist of four which are to measure the face and content validity of
“Genetic Holic”, a digital game application on genetics topics, as well as the perception
level of UPSI Biology undergraduate students regarding the engagement and
motivation level on it. The product development was based on the ADDIE model. The
S-CVI/UA for the product is 0.93 and the instrument is 1.00 while the percent of the
agreement for the product is 96.15% and the instrument is 100%, where all the values
can be interpreted at a very good level. The perception level of 165 UPSI Biology
Education undergraduate students ranging from semester 3 to 7 toward the learning
experience on “Genetic Holic” in the engagement and motivation aspects was evaluated

This research explores how students_ experiences with virtual reality (VR) technology can enhance their creativity and self-expression. The study aims to investigate the potential of immersive VR painting as a core curriculum component in art education to enhance students_ learning experiences. Qualitative data collection methods include interviews, VR assignments, and experience mapping with academics, industry experts and students. The participants consisted of four academics with over five years of experience in art and design education, two industry experts from VR companies in Malaysia with over five years of industry experience, and five undergraduate students in Creative Multimedia.
