Pembangunan Industri Kecil dan Sederhana (IKS) berasaskan pertanian telah diberi penekanan di dalam Dasar Pertanian Negara memandangkan potensinya di dalam mewujudkan peluangpeluang pekerjaan dan menambah nilai Eî~äìÉ�~ÇÇÉÇF hasil pengeluaran pertanian. Walaupun dasar dan inisiatif kerajaan untuk menjadikan Malaysia pusat pengeluaran makanan di peringkat global pada 2010 namun pencapaian usahawan tani terutama kaum Bumiputera masih pada tahap yang rendah. Employers now require employees who mastered the technical and employability skills. Unfortunately employability skills acquired by does not meet the criteria education institution graduates by employers. This study aims to evaluate the level of employability skills on engineering students at higher education institutions from the perspective of employers. The descriptive study used quantitative approach involve a total of 171 respondents which is the engineering employers who were provided placement for industrial training to students of technical institutions. The teaching of engineering courses is relatively challenging due to the nature of the courses that are perceived as “difficult courses” by a number of students. Thus, the purpose of this action research was to explore the problems faced by electrical and electronic engineering (PKEE) students studying a difficult topic–transistor. This research was also aimed at identifying the students’ attitude towards Problem-based Learning (PBL). Literature has shown that PBL could enhance students’ understanding and make the learning more meaningful. The theoretical framework of this study was based on Kemmis and Mc Taggart model. Kajian ini bertujuan meninjau kemahiran employabiliti pelajar kejuruteraan di politeknik daripada perspektif majikan. Kajian kes ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Untuk mengumpul data, satu set protokol temu bual telah dibina berdasarkan objektif kajian dan tinjauan literatur. This survey study was carried out to review the measurement items of learning environment model for engineering students. A total of 535 respondents were involved in this research. The variables presented in this research were the peer interaction, lecturer interaction and education facilities. Data were analyzed descriptively for reliability (Cronbach Alpha values) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was used to obtain 3 factor solutions using AMOS software. The results showed that the Cronbach Alpha was on the classification of high and very high which was higher than 0.70. This study aimed to identify the approaches employed by teachers in teaching Contemporary Children’s Literature Program to upper primary school. Using classroom observations and interview as research instruments, this paper evaluates the approaches of five ESL teachers teaching Year 5 students and examines the various challenges faced by them in the teaching of literature. Preliminary findings on the approaches revealed that the incorporation of literary elements in the classroom was minimal. Teachers were lacked creativity and fully utilized the modules provided by the Curriculum Development Centre. The Pre, While and Post-Reading was not employed effectively due to the lack of textbook provided by the school. Nevertheless, the program provides great potential for enhancing students’ language learning in the classroom. This study was designed to determine the constructs to develop a new model of innovative instructional leadership for polytechnics system in Malaysia. The study used Hallinger and Murphy theories as the main underpinning leadership development framework. This study has utilized a model development approach as its research design. In an earlier stage, a modified Delphi technique was used to gather initial data regarding innovative instructional leadership. Eleven experts were selected based on their expertise and experience. They confirmed 13 constructs for the new innovative instructional TVET leadership model. Besides the experts, a stratified random sampling was used to select the polytechnic lecturers. A new instrument was developed which consisted of 13 constructs and 185 items and it was distributed to the lecturers in the selected polytechnics to verify the proposed constructs of the innovative instructional leadership. Even though Project-Based Learning is sound in theory but the implementation of this student-centred approach is often problematic due to varied factors. Hence, the aim of this research was to evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of Project-Based Learning at a polytechnic in Malaysia. The research design used in this study was program evaluation. Program evaluation is systematic method to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of a program. A CIPP model was selected because it is a holistic and appropriate model for program evaluation. In terms of sampling, 43 supervisors and 118 students were selected randomly. The main instrument used in this study was a set of questionnaires validated in a pilot study. Key finding shows that most supervisors and students believe that Project-Based Learning is suitable for the students’ senior project.
