Model pencapaian Matematik berasaskan penyesuaian pelajar pendekatan kuasa dua terkecil separa

The purpose of this study is to develop a model of mathematics achievement based on adjustment among students in teacher training institutes in Malaysia. The structural equation model by partial least squares equations was used to measure goodness of items in terms of validity and reliability. Then, the model of academic adjustment was developed in this study. The data were obtained by distributing a questionnaire to 100 students of the Preparatory Programme Bachelor of Teaching (PPISMP) majoring in Mathematics Education in teacher training institutes. The items were translated and adapted from the Student Adaptation to College Questionnaire (SACQ). The statistics result depending on the outcome measure revealed that academic adjustment emerged as the best predictor in influencing student mathematics achievement. Perbandingan metodologi pengelasan Geodemografi dengan menggunakan Algoritma K-means dan Algoritma Selforganizing Map: satu kajian kes di negeri Perak

Kajian ini dijalankan bertujuan membandingkan dua algoritma utama yang digunakan dalam proses pembentukan pengelasan geodemografi iaitu algoritma k-means dan algoritma Self-Organizing Map (SOM). Salah satu daripada algoritma yang dipilih akan digunakan dalam proses pembentukan profil penduduk. Sebanyak 1184 zon banci dan 203 pembolehubah daripada data banci penduduk dan perumahan telah digunakan. Analisis algoritma k-means melibatkan beberapa proses iaitu proses pengurangan pembolehubah, penentuan bilangan kluster optimum, pengubahan dan penyeragaman data. Manakala bagi algoritma SOM sebanyak 2,000 unit jaringan telah dibentuk dan topologi heksagon telah dipilih berserta dengan fungsi kejiranan gaussian. Berdasarkan kepada kedua-dua algoritma, k-means telah menghasilkan lima kluster manakala algoritma SOM telah menghasilkan lapan kluster. Keberkesanan penggunaan alat bantu mengajar interaktif bagi meningkatkan kefahaman konsep pengaturcaraan dalam kalangan pelajar

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keberkesanan penggunaan alat bantu mengajar interaktif bagi meningkatkan kefahaman mengenai konsep pengaturcaraan dalam kalangan pelajar. Satu kajian berbentuk kuasi-eksperimen telah dijalankan di sebuah kolej di Perak. Sampel kajian terdiri daripada 91 orang pelajar telah dipilih berdasarkan markah ujian-pra mereka. Pelajar-pelajar telah dibahagikan kepada dua kumpulan dengan menggunakan persampelan bertujuan, 53 pelajar dalam kumpulan eksperimen dan 38 orang pelajar dalam kumpulan kawalan. Semasa proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran, pelajar dalam kumpulan eksperimen telah dirawat dengan menggunakan alat bantu mengajar interaktif kontemporari manakala pelajar dalam kumpulan kawalan telah dirawat menggunakan alat bantu mengajar interaktif konvensional. Development and evaluation of an independent learning model for social learning platform

The study aims to develop and evaluate an independent learning model for social learning platform. The quantitative method is used in this study. The data is obtained through the instrument of connectivism theory and Facebook usage. The subjects of this study were 81 students of Two-Years Programme in one of the matriculation colleges in Malaysia. These respondents were selected based on purposive sampling. The statistical analysis involving descriptive statistics and Partial Least Squares- Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) is the method used in this study. The findings indicated that there were significant structural relationships between connectivism theory and Web 2.0 towards students' achievement. Furthermore, the structural model showed that students' achievement is influenced by the principles of connectivism theory and Facebook as a learning tool. Kajian ini dijalankan untuk mengkaji hubungan amalan kepimpinan teknologi dengan peranan kepimpinan pertengahan dalam kalangan pemimpin pertengahan kolej vokasional di Zon Utara, Malaysia. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif bersifat tinjauan. Kajian kuantitatif ini melibatkan satu sampel kajian terdiri daripada 185 pemimpin pertengahan melibatkan 22 buah Kolej vokasional di Zon Utara iaitu Perak, Perlis, Kedah dan Pulau Pinang, Malaysia. Kajian ini menggunakan soal selidik amalan kepimpinan teknologi adaptasi daripada The Principal Technology Leadership Assesment (PTLA) dan soal selidik peranan kepimpinan pertengahan adaptasi daripada Middle Leadership Roles Questionaire – School Edition (MLRQ-SE). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensi menggunakan perisian SPSS IBM Versi 27.0. Transitioning from scratch to Java a mixed method investigation into students\ learning processes

This research examines the transition from Scratch to Java programming, highlighting high achievement among participants. The study includes 70 students and utilizes mixed methods, combining quantitative analysis and qualitative narratives. Findings demonstrate the effectiveness of Scratch Visual Teaching Aids (VTA) in developing educational games, understanding algorithm concepts, and improving programming projects. Students' attitudes towards Scratch VTA show increased interest, concentration, and enjoyment in learning. Quantitative analysis indicates positive tool capabilities (mean scores ranging from 3.25 to 3.46). Qualitative narratives reveal varying perceptions of the transition, with prior programming knowledge influencing the shift. Challenges include adapting to the learning session and mastering Java's syntax and concepts. Thus, this digital game, named Tun Mamat Adventure Mission, was created to introduce children to Malaysian folklore. It proposes a new alternative for storytelling that enhances the user experience. The objectives of this study were: i) to develop an interactive game that introduces the cultural identity of Malaysia's historical story in helping to sustain Malay folklore and ii) to test the game’s usability in terms of player engagement and education. Malaysian English language teachers beliefs, roles and practices on learners autonomy in secondary schools

This study explores the beliefs, roles and practices of Malaysian English language teachers concerning learner autonomy and how they develop autonomous learning in secondary school classrooms. The objectives of the research are to gain insights into teachers' beliefs on learner autonomy and understand the practices they employ to develop autonomous learning among their learners. The study adopts a mixed-method approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data collection methods. A total of 172 English language teachers participated in the first phase of the research, responding to a questionnaire to provide quantitative data on their beliefs, roles and practices on learner autonomy. For the second phase, semi-structured interviews and classroom observations were conducted with a selected group of teachers to gain in-depth insights into their practices in developing learner autonomy.
